When I was in Hiroshima, I went to a museum and I were wondering if I could take pictures there. I asked someone, "写真を撮ってもいいですか?," feeling really proud of my Japanese. But then the answer was in "super saiyan" Japanese, I didn't get anything of it and I was back on the ground...

Little fun fact: Today, I've read the first pages of "Yotsuba to" based on your recommendation. (It fits perfectly my level of japanese, thanks to you!) The first word I had to check was "あぶない" . Later I watched this video and the first new words is "あぶない". Funny coincidence. ^^

arigatou! We normally omit "watashi no" (my) when it's clear from the context. It's not wrong to say "watashi no tomodachi wa asobi ni kimashita" but less natural than "tomodachi wa ~".

No, its Anata TO hanashite mo ii desu ka?. That's because its not the friend speaking but you. Your sentence would mean Is it okay that you speak?. My sentence literally translates to May i speak with you? which is the correct way of saying this in japanese.

@Baka_Oppai 8 жыл бұрын
it means "to go hang out" so I can see that being true.
@JapaneseAmmowithMisa
@JapaneseAmmowithMisa 8 жыл бұрын
Well if you want to say "Let's (go) hang out!", you say "あそびにいこう!(inf.)"". And we'd say it to friends or anyone you want to hang out with so it doesn't necessarily mean that someone is into you romantically. :) Also in Japan you have to "confess your love" to become a bf/ gf and you can only date someone once the other person approves your "confession (kokuhaku)".
