What a treasure this channel is. I'm from Ireland. I recently watched a documentary "Call of the Forest: The Forgotten Wisdom of Trees (2016)". In this doc they said 2,000 years ago Ireland was 70% tree covered, now we are less than 1%. Regenerative farming, PLUS more tree planting, that's where we should be aiming for. Ireland government forest and tree group largely see trees as a cash crop, unfortunately.

Ive explored all the Sipsey Wilderness and Bankhead NF, starting in the 1990s up until my double knee replacement In 2007 about two years after my hip was re[lacement. You really need to hike to explore the area.

Made reservations for Clear Creek Campground months ahead. Got there to find the lake drained, NO SWIMMING. Alabama Power Power drains it EVERY YEAR the woman in the office told us. WHY didn't they tell us THAT when we made reservations❓️ We could have stayed in another State Park with ALL the amenities 🤔

Well… it’s a reservoir, not a lake, which means it has water level data that includes a draw down schedule. You can look that up yourself. It’s also not in the Sipsy Wilderness.
