@@juandufree4309 They were literally like 120th in points and yards allowed last season. They just need to not be abysmal. Riley has fielded a top 10 offense for 5 straight seasons. Unfortunately he had a bottom 10 defense in 2023 despite having a Heisman winner, first overall NFL pick on the other side of the ball. Yes the defense wasn’t elite but USC fans aren’t looking for that. Even a subpar defense is miles better than what they fielded the last 5 years.

This was not a huge upset by any stretch. theyre both preseason ranked teams going head to head on season opened & USC was a -3.5/4 pt dog. That's hardly a small upset let alone a huge one. Noles was a pretty decent upset even tho i personally thought they're overrated coming into the season & thought it was gonna be closer than ppl thought it would be.

It's only one game, but this should open up some eyes on the recruiting front, Lane and Robinson are from Arizona, Lemon and Hudson are from Los Alamitos and Mater Dei respectively. Zion is from Bishop Gorman in Vegas and Miller Moss is from Alemany, so the offensive fire power and big plays were produced mainly by local kids.

Yeah, if you had asked 100 people who wins LSU or USC it would've been at least 90% LSU. I admit, I thought the same thing. I figured there was no way that USC would hang with LSU, I thought for sure the way LSU moved the ball to begin the second would be the story and they would slowly wear down USC. Being from California and living 20 minutes from USC I can honestly say I was very surprised with how this game wound up, especially considering hearing that Riley was trying to get out of this game.

USC ACTUALLY tackled consistently and swarmed to the ball. Those two things alone coupled with the win means they can win 9 games, maybe flirt with 10 wins if they can just beat either Michigan, Penn State or Notre dame. They could legitimately make the playoff now with 2 losses and this win over LSU. And if LSU can go 10-2 they're also in. They played very well this was just a DAMN GOOD football game!!!

YOUR team has elite personnel but to be fair USCs coaching is elite. LINCOLN RILEY is definitely a genous offensive play caller. Those 3 plays in the 4th is absolutely bonkers. The misdirection run and then followed bu the play action and then same sets to show LSU the same play but instead of a pass or another misdirection the running back went straight. And the defense and playcalls was a shutdown defense. I give props to LSU after all they have elite talent.
