This is a great video. I’m looking to buy my first new car at 61 years of age. I’m test driving the Jetta SEL in your beautiful Rising Blue tomorrow and will probably buy it. Plenty of room and good mpg is what I like.

Why not spend another 2k and get a GLI it comes fully loaded and has way more performance for a bit more cash.

You had a very good review of your car and a good sense of humor 😂.coming from n/a Vw’s Engine’s. V8 Touareg and two 5 cylinder jette’s. Never been a fan of turbo motors.. what do you think of the reliability down the road. And was wondering what grade of fuel does vw recommends since almost all turbo cars I’ve seen say 91. Think of getting one. Just curious how it will stand up against time. Like some people say turbocharged engines more stuff to break.

Aaah, man! 184 tq at 1750 rpm? The 1.4 made that amount at 1400 rpm's.

Great video! How was the transmission in stop and go, (1-3 gears) at low speeds? I’ve seen some forums that are saying shifting at low speeds like stop and go traffic is very clunky and harsh. Did you experience that at all?
@MachinesWithWheels Жыл бұрын
The unit I had was not as smooth as the best automatics, but it wasn’t what I would call clunky. Be interesting to see what it would be like when the miles pile up.

Yeah if you look them up, people are saying right around 5k ,miles the Aisin starts to shift hard from 1st to 3rd in around town driving, and resetting doesn’t fix it. Sad bc I want one but that’s holding me back.

Not a real German car anymore. Germans don't even buy it in numbers. They still adore their Golf.
