To all those who were concerned about Veto not being able to sleep in my bed, after a year and three months, he built up the random courage last night to come up the stairs on his own to sleep in my bed with me 😂. Getting down was quite easy for him all of a sudden, but he did it again tonight- thank you all for supporting him and giving him the extra push to be brave lol

@@sofiarossi1434 still wondering till now how you manage to cope with a composting toilet, where you actually dispose it or how does it work. Does that always smell bad and how you collect it from time to time
@sofiarossi14344 ай бұрын
@@yayyayyayyyyayyay I answered this! All liquid waste drains into my gardens and all solid waste is collected in a composting bag and is disposed of regularly. It never smells because a small fan runs on it 24/7.

@@yayyayyayyyyayyay You must not watch very many Tiny vids. The vast majority have composting toilets & they all say that three is no odor because they have externally vented fans. That even includes ones w/o urine diversion. Because they have composting toilets they don’t have to have black tanks. 👍🏻

Wow! I am so impressed with how well thought-out every part of this tiny home is & how much she knows about her home! How many of us can say we know as much about ours?! Plus, she has nade great choices for our planet & also minimizing her expenses! Ok, I am very impressed with this young lady, period. Only 23? This gal will have a life - a very good life - of her choosing & whoever raised her should be very proud!! She has her s**t together & is well in control of it. Good job, girl!😉 (Snarky people & jealous ones need not reply.) I'm an "older woman", so couldn't live in that compact space & the stairs...Ugh! (Maybe a slide for down & bigger staircase outside? LOL) I love that every single inch of space is put to good use, fitting an amazing amount inside! And the books! I love my books & would HATE to give them up "going tiny" ~ this many, I could do. 1 thing that makes me sad is that her dog can't go upstairs to her bedroom with her.😥 Is this cuz' stairs are too dangerous, slippery? If that's it, could you just stick little carpet squares (cut in 1/2) on the stairs, giving dog non-slip traction for paws? Just a thought. (My dog & cats would make me sleep down on the pull-out to get any sleep! I'm...uh... well-trained.) Congrats to you, so smart & self-aware.🥹 You will go far & your tiny home can go with you... Good job! Do what makes you & your dog happy!

I love that yellow sink! Very cool. Nice to have your own "portable" house at age 23! And with solar, too! I don't have running water where I live either, and it is amazing how thrifty one becomes when you have to haul all your water by hand! I figured out that on average I use about 8 litres a day - so about 2 gallons per day. That doesn't include for doing the bulk of my laundry. But by wearing the same thing every day for several days, other than hot summer days, I reduce the amount of laundry I have to wash. Not everyone's lifestyle, but it allows me to live on a very small income. We each make tradeoffs that work for us! Well done with this house!
@lauracooskey94814 ай бұрын
Me, too... i have no running water inside my house, and the laundry is a shared place that unfortunately has become a point of contention with a couple of other tenants here, so i try to avoid needing to do much washing. I air out my clothes on an outdoor clothesline between wearings, but unless i work up a sweat, i see no reason to wash with every change, or to change clothes every day. (Once you get into this habit, travel becomes really easy... just wear what you wear with one backup!) I get by on one or two laundry loads a month. I have a feeling that many people think that's just weird... but hey! Once you try it you find it very practical, and there's not one thing wrong with it that anyone can see or smell. I admit that i AM happy in a little-things kind of way when i change to a fresh outfit!
