As someone already said, Scuf controllers aren’t known for their longevity. I can only assume it’s because the company is cracking open new PS5 controllers and making their modifications. Honestly, it’s cheaper to make your own custom controllers than buying one for three times the price of a regular controller.

I bought a Scuf Reflex Pro back in May... asked them to make it all white; like the one you got but with white trackpad, white thumbstick and white back. What I received was mostly white but with a black trackpad, black thumbstick and a black back. I don't mind it, it looks good... but it had a bad battery and wouldn't charge or even turn on while plugged in, so I had to send it back, and it took until almost July to get to me. Sucks I paid $243 (after tax and shipping) and had to wait over a month to use it . But I really like it. Makes a bit of a difference.

I know, that why I have preordered the new victrix controller for ps5 on Amazon. The controller is $179 plus a two year warranty for $24 and Amazon gives you 45 days to return it if your a prime member. The controller has just as many features and now than scuf. I hope it performs and holds up well . I was going to get a scuf but I play with a friend that has 3 of them because of stock drift being the main complaint.

Been using the Elite Series 2 forever. I love the look and design on the new Scuf's, especially the buttons on the back instead of the paddles. The only thing holding me back is not being able to have that increased stick tension

I’m not paying upwards of $200 for a controller that I know will break in less than a year. You don’t even need paddles if you get used to an alternate button layout. And with all consoles having button remap settings, you can get by. Paddles should be standard on all controllers now anyways so they be actually be functional buttons instead of glorified remaps.

I just bought a rise remap kit in which I had to open up the controller and add a motherboard + ribbon cables + paddles which took about an hour or 2 to complete. It cost $40 which is a bit pricey. So the cost was $70 ps5 controller + $40 kit so in total was $110 for a ps5 pro controller. Not too bad. I’ve been using it for over 6 months now and have had no issues. The oem ps5 controller is more durable than the scuff controller. But if in case the controller does break, then I can remove the kit and add it to another controller. I agree that if ur a casual gamer then the normal controller is fine with alternate layouts. I’m not sure about learning claw, but that also may be a solution.

Exactly, that is basically halve of a ps5 console. And as you said just remap the controller. I have my settings where I don't have to lift my thumbs from the analog sticks. And lets face it, we all know these 200 + controllers will get stick drift within the first year.

I built my scuff with 20$ pads kit from ebay, using the original ps5 controller.They are already mapped and easy to install. I don't really get how you could buy a 200$+ controller that will brake that easy (as all scuffs do).
