Everything about this performance is amazing-the usual clear and steady camerawork from Dodo, ARMY singing along-but my favorite part starts during the ramp up toward the end starting at 3:24! Yoongi gets this smile on his face at 3:30 that is so joyful, and that energy carries us into 4:00 where the background instrumentation sounds so uplifting and hopeful despite the song lyrics being bittersweet. It kind of encapsulates what he said on Day 1/2 of tour about not wanting to tell his story with so much anger anymore-he can remake a song of sad and angry feelings toward another person and turn it into something new that more accurately embodies how he feels about that song’s story/his art now. BTS’ Chapter Two is truly something to witness. 💜
