I remember this in a local arcade when I was a kid, and the sound when you were in it was incredible! It was easily the loudest machine in there and was always popular!arcades suck now, it's all about winning tickets 😤

My vote for the best arcade game ever made. So much polish on so much of the programming. Game is cleverly designed to ramp the difficulty by layering challenges at the player -- enemies from the front, enemies from behind, enemies from above, road conditions, environment changes for boat mode. steering control with the various buttons gave good player feedback and options -- good game design includes giving resource management and requiring quick decisions about what to do next. When it was new in the arcade the them music and gameplay meshed to make an unforgettable arcade game experience.

Great restoration and details on the inner workings. I would love to work at TNT Amusements as a game tester. Super video.

Whoa! This is so awesome to see!!! The arcade game brings back awesome memories at Chuck E Cheese back in the late 80’s 😆 The Nintendo game was eh not even close to the arcade driver seat experience. Great video!!

These old machines are works of art. Theres a whole new generation of gamers today who probably have no idea these machines existed or how cool they are.

I have been to Galloping Ghost arcade in suburban Chicago several times and am thrilled by how many kids I see excitedly playing classic original machines like Spy Hunter. Retro gaming seems to know no age limits.

Did you know that Spy Hunter was originally supposed to have a helicopter power-up to make it easier to destroy the enemy helicopters but due to higher costs, that feature was never put into the game.
