ive been watching these with my 2 year old and he just gets a kick out of the plants 'dancing' as they wiggle their way up. he ends up dancing with them lol

One thing I've learned from these videos? Basically anything in all of family _Cucurbidae_ (cucumbers, squash, melons, ect) should get sturdy trellises to climb up, or they'll just sprawl like kudzu. If you're worried about heavier fruits damaging or breaking their own vines from the weight, dip into the rag bin and tie the fruit a support sling onto the trellis, so the weight comes off the vine.
