I don't get how so many people get ridiculed and accused of lying when they are displaying signs of trauma. This is a theme across the hundreds of encounters I've listened to across multiple Bigfoot channels and podcasts.

Where the Kenai River enters Skilak Lake is one of my favorite places in Alaska. On April 22, 2020 Michael Crawford from Homer disappeared while on a solo fishing trip on which he'd hiked the Hidden Creek Trail from Skilak Lake Road down to Skilak Lake. Michael hiked along the lake about a mile to where the Kenai flows into the lake. The next day his backpack, fishing rods and his dog were found on the gravel shoreline but Michael was never seen again. There was an extensive search of the area on foot, by boat and aircraft and there was no sign of animal predation and no sign of Michael was ever found. This disappearance has haunted me since. I often hike and fish with only my dog for company and it's hard to imagine a situation in which my dog wouldn't be able to follow me and would simply stay put with the gear I'd left laying on the ground.

There is rather similar story of the disappearance of Raymond Salem in 2013 in Harrison Hot Springs while out hunting and camping on the west side of the lake in a heavily wooded area. His two dogs were found locked alive in the camper of his truck safe with him nowhere to be found. The story was in the news and the RCMP says no foul play was suspected. There's a lot of holes in this account of Raymond's disappearance, it too has bugged me.

I would love to visit just that area. The fishing must have been amazing. So jealous!!!! You’re right; no words in my vocabulary can describe how absolutely amazingly beautiful that particular area is. Seriously! Thank you for sharing it with us. Thanks for sharing this encounter story with us also. All I can say is I hope there are places like that in Heaven. I could definitely spend eternity in an area like that lake, stream with the mountains surrounding the area. And, you get to see it frequently. I’ll never be able to physically experience a place like that in my lifetime. You are one lucky person. SO jealous. Have a great week. Take care and stay safe out there.

Thank you for putting the word out about these creatures. Because of what you're doing, we'll eventually live in a world where people don't fall apart with disbelief when they see a sasquatch, but will know exactly what they're looking at. Hopefully by then, employers and other people with authority won't be able to pretend these entities don't exist, either, and people will be believed and taken seriously when they report encounters. You're doing a good thing, Fred! --N
