I really really like the majority of the variants from I think 8 to 18 it sounds like some Motörhead shit, great stuff man!

My biggest favorite is Variant 15, I do love that riff for some reason and I tend to get hyped every time it drops in! Motörhead is in fact one of my dozens of inspirations when it comes to metal, since their songs always gives you that one feeling of racing in a MadMax like game, exploding oponents at high speed and such, no wonder why Lemmy was one of the ones chosen to appear in Brütal Legend :D

Thanks a ton for your feedback man! The goal is indeed to make it way more interesting to play, and also with more adrenaline on your blood, with the feeling of "I will die if I don't survive this", it's a way more different interpretation of the original themes :D

Then I would not recommend you to search "Left 4 Metal" in Steam's Workshop and not subscribe to the whole pack ;)) Jokes aside, all of those are working mods, just have in mind that the Special Infected themes needs to be installed in the classic way for technical reasons, although someone made a version of it that requires you to only subscribe to them, but they won't loop properly!

I think that among all the themes, Left 4 Dead's script picks most of one more than others, like...one having more chances to appear more than other tracks in certain places...but I may be wrong. I sadly don't know anything about coding, so I can't certainly tell if that's the case, because when I play, I do get that one often, but others appear often enough to not let Variant 16 to get repetitive! :D

I had plans of putting banjo's and fiddles but those are sepparated, they play appart together with the horde songs, so I couldn't make one theme specific for one campaign, the only thing I can do is to make the Main Menu theme which is on the queue too, but first I need to finish the escape theme!

I do tend to think that heavy metal guitars are something lots of people love, being the song metal or not. This is something I've been working for a long time now, mixing genres with distorted guitars...and many great things ends up coming from this experiment...Left 4 Metal is completely focused in metal, though it needs that "Game Soundtrack" vibes, you know? It feels like you are playing one game from any year between 2000 and 2010!

Pretty much, some of those songs had inspiration in "The Warriors" soundtrack for Playstation 2, and that game has a good amount of punk rock themes. I had many inspiration towards all of those themes, not only the punk rock, but yes...that genre does inspire me a lot too! :D My favorite is Variant 15, everytime it drops in the game, I feel extremely hyped!

The game itself has many variants, I changed every single one of them...a small group of variants has the same melodies, just different intensities! It's hard to notice with the original soundtrack sometimes because its only drum beats, but they are there :D
