Amazing music, I love them in the kitchen, they just look like normal suburban folks, no pretentions or anything, true pioneers.

There are two tunes on the clip. The first is "Still Walking" and the second is "Hot on the Heels of Love". Both from the classic album "20 Jazz Funk Greats".

I'd love to know more about Cosey's satellite guitar, which is seen during the latter song. Was it home built (with the neck from a satellite Stratocaster copy) or brutally cut down from a satellite instrument. Anybody?

@@ShanghaiRooster I've been told on authority the original was a Woolworths Top Twenty home brand guitar, which were made by classic vintage Japanese firm Teisco. Rob Smith from the Cure also played one and later had the pick ups put into a "better" guitar their manager gave him. The guitar featured here is not Cosis original one, it looks like it's very well made and gas different pick ups. Throb bing Gristle cut down the original one themselves, as Cosis said it was too heavy. The one shown has a very pro cut and finnish to it. I came across a Top Twenty a few years ago and gave new pots and a rewire. I'm no guitarist but I love the jangly microphonic pick ups and use it to create great Noise.

If Ian Curtis had lived he was going to join TG. His favorite band. Chris and Cosey?? The absolute coolest and trailblazing couple ever! I love C and C soo much and glad I was exposed to them 30 years ago as a 13 yr old growing up in Chicago loitering at Wax Trax. They were my after school babysitter really.

The two tracks are "Hot on the Heels of Love" and "Still Walking" off of the album "20 Jazz Funk Greats." Be sure to go out and pick it up today. I have just realized that someone has already got this information covered as I am writing this. Oh well, go out and pick up the album. Classic.

Love these guys. Music which changed my life. Also into dark industrialized and electronic sounds from the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, Cabaret Voltaire, KMFDM, Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, Angel Spit, HTDA, Front Line Assembly, AllFlaws

I still bow Throbbing Gristle even if it sounds ridiculous. I saw them at Coachella 2009 and I felt like I saw god. Why so much fanatism about them? Because are the godfathers of Industrial, there is too much meaning about what they explain in that video.

There should an ACTUAL documentary on TG. Not to mention there should be one on industrial music in general (and no, I don't count that crappy one about Nine Inch Nails -- which ISN'T industrial music).

Jackie I dunno Nin's early stuff outside of the big singles was pretty raw and industrial. But everything post tds was just terrible. Have you ever heard the coil remix of closer?
@lostmedia-e6p
@lostmedia-e6p 6 жыл бұрын
@@body-horrorragdolls1826 That's because you were expecting an Industrial sound - old Nine Inch Nails is considered Industrial. Everything after that is considered alternative rock/electronic rock. Trent Reznor doesn't even consider Nine Inch Nails industrial, nor did he even consider them Industrial back then. edit_: records like pretty hate machine, broken, and the downward spiral are considered industrial just by fans and critiques, but trent never once aimed for it to be slammed into the industrial genre.
