I like to attempt to understand the deeper messages in the scriptures Father Bryan, which is why these studies are so important to me, so that I can not only hear the word, but dig deeper into the message that God so desperately wants us to understand. What came to me immediately, the message as it were, is that once we are touched by Jesus, by the Holy Spirit, you will be able to hear and see, to speak the Truth. John 8:32, so to speak... But that's just me, an imperfect and humble servant of the Lord, just trying to hang on for dear life to Christ. It is SO HARD these days! Thank you as always for these studies, I truly look forward to them, and I do my best to hear them.

Thanks for sharing! I think about this kind of thing frequently - a person can learn all of the truths of our faith, but that encounter with Jesus is what transforms that learning into loving, into a living faith.

The way Jesus performed the miracle reminds me of the second Creation story in Genesis where God blew Spirit/life into humanity, with the diff being that God the Father went via the nostrils and God the Son went via the mouth. Thanks for your weekly reflections 🙏

@@AngeloKurbanali-Theologian mmm, nice reflection there. The Father creates in the beginning, humanity is broken by sin, and the Son restores creation in a similar, though distinct way.

@@catholicbiblestudies oh that’s an interesting way to look at it too! Additionally,I was thinking the nose and the mouth are connected, so the Father and Son are connected, and that both the nose and mouth can fill the lungs, so it could reference the Filioque [controversial as that might be, though I don’t intend for it to be]. Really, I just find Mark to be so filled with the Trinity, so thank God for that!
