By Middle range QF athlete we mean a step below bubble semis but still very good. Someone who would easily qualify in the “old” top 10% rule from last year. These people will finish between 8:15-8:45. For those on the cut line we think sub 10:30 will likely be safe with 10min being a really good target. Of course, we will know more by Saturday!

What’s the slowest I can go on burpees (intentionally) to finish in the time cap?

Hey y’all, I have a question, hoping it doesn’t sound stupid lol. In the spirit of trying to understand oneself as an athlete and setting target goals for 24.1, what do you think about the idea of taking the average # of burpees per Minute within a 7min workout, and using the # of DB Snatches in 45s I can do in an emom as a way to guesstimate my pacing and time? Hope that makes sense. And maybe the answer is “it depends.” lol

“Middle range QF 8:15-8:45”. QF being 75%-99th. If an 88th percentile is dropping a time of 8:30 I’ll eat my hat. That’s blazing speed.

Yes, this probably wasn’t explained correctly: By High range Qf athlete we mean bubble semifinal, which we think will need to be around 7:30 By Middle range QF athlete we mean a step below bubble semis but still very good. At what point/score does a scaled athlete need to go RX rather than scaled? If you scaled for the weight and got a sub 7-6 minute time is that sandbagging the workout?
