24 Hour PH Impedance Test For Acid Reflux, Vlog

In this episode I take you through the full day of my PH impedance test in which I have been ordered to do in regards to my chronic acid reflux ,lpr, gerd and chronic gut issues .
PH and impedance testing is basically a tube that runs through your nose and into your oesophagus and stomach to test the acid levels and manometry is a swallowing test which records data in regards to the contraction and mechanics of the oesophagus.

I had my Manometry test yesterday and found it pretty awful. The tube came out my mouth 3 times before it went down. The ph tube is thinner and not as bad.

Did you do retest for hp ? And did you get results? Acid reflux stay with you for awhile after eradication treatment then stop… do you burping frequently?

Hello, my friend. I have a similar problem like you. Hiatus hernia and Gerd. My symptoms are pain and burning in the chest and sometimes in the throat. I read a lot and I realized this is a set of problems in my system. The problem is bad bacteria in the stomach and intestines and low acid. A lot of people who were cured were just this problem. Riki, I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. I tend to stick to the acid watchers diet which is a low alkaline diet, I've taken many different supplements over the last year but now I only take a prebiotic. Please watch my other videos as I have loads of valuable information.

I hate this horrible LPR crap. Mine has flared up again...no real reason why but again, I have been extra anxious and it is back. It is strange how it can just suddenly start coming up after food, I can taste the acid and feel the hoarseness. I wonder what the results will be and does that allow you to have surgery on the NHS? otherwise, it is just confirming what you already know?

Just had this done had to pay for it privately in London. They said I could have surgery then they said no and are sending me for swallowing therapy I’m devastated went through all of this for no surgery I lost have my body weight and I’m on medical drinks as acid is bad. Now they’re saying I wouldn’t benefit from surgery massive joke don’t know how much longer I can live like this I’m heavily depressed and honestly wouldn’t care if anything happened to me I have chest burning pain constantly and same in my throat 🥺

@@stuartbardin3164 the NHS said it was all mental health didn’t want to fund it. Its cost me £1,850 on my credit card I’m struggling to work feel so unwell and they made me go private as they wouldn’t listen even had to change doctors practices I’ve had a new doctor she’s now found there’s inflammation in my gut so now the nhs are investigating that. I have swallowing therapy booked in London for treatment although they offered me surgery and went back on it good luck for surgery it’s so difficult to get! I’m so sad I live off ensure medical drinks and what ever I can force down me it’s horrible wouldn’t wish this on anyone. My life is crap I hope you get sorted my results from these tests showed abnormal problems so I was right it’s physical! And showed reflux is happening! I’m on lansoprazole 30mg I don’t want to amp it up anymore. But I believe I need another endoscopy as shit is not right babe! I’m so heavily depressed sorry to put this I consider not living. All I want is surgery. I hope you get sorted I’m only 25 aswell :/

Myself have severe anxiety and depression and dealing with stomach issues since I had like food poisoning or something like that cause I have bad digestive problems and booting after little amounts and can’t breathe sometimes. Hi Stuart, just reaching out to see if you have been under any investigations for a Hiatal Hernia? Near on all your symptoms can be caused by a HH. I am currently undergoing investigations for it

@@stuartbardin3164 late to this. But do u think u have a sliding hiatal hernia. There wasn’t one found in my endo two years ago but hpylori was found. Got that treated but have other issues that I been dealing with and my best bet is hiatal hernia maybe sliding. I’m getting all the tests done in June. From what I read the sliding scale won’t be found in endoscopy cuz ur asleep. But the manomentry (bad spelling) detects it much better since ur like half awake

@@rosemary81812 Hi Rose, many people are dingnosed with sliding hiatal hernia via endoscopy so I'm not sure who told you that it couldn't be found that way, it's the only test where you can physically see inside the oesophagus and entrance to the stomach. I had my mamotory and there was no mention of hernia

@@stuartbardin3164 it’s done and had moderate chronic gastritis with h pylori. After antibiotics h pylori is negative but breathing and other problems are same. Actually before starting this problem I had strep throat bacterial infection and my Gp gave antibiotics pencilin 1000 mg empty stomach 3 times a day for 10 days course. And 20 days later after finishing this course this problem started first week was just small episodes of short breathing then it remain continue 24 hours. Doctors says it’s not antibiotics side effect but I’m confused 😐
