As a person who lived most of my life in Skövde (more than 35 years), I think he did a great job of capturing the boring and inconvenient city center. Personally, the 4 or 5 times a year I visit the the town center is to order Indian food at Bombay Masala. And then once every two years or so, Rådhuscaféet or Henry's Bageri might get a visit too. I think the more worthwhile parts of Skövde are Arena Badet [adventure bath / spa] and Billingen [nature]. Although, in all honesty, I rather escape into Valheim, no need to come to Skövde. The university is OK too. I can recommend the game development and UX programmes! Finally, Skövde is a very nerdy city. Skövde is the most otaku town of Sweden. 1/100 people are game developers! Beware of otaku! ;)

I am from Axvall, roundabout 18 km from Skövde. When I was young we went to Skövde for shopping and for amusement. cause it is the biggest city in Skaraborgs län. I also lived a few years in Stockholm but now I live since many many years in Berlin. The konstmuseum was named “culture house” (kulturhuset).

Its a nice town, Billingen is beatiful, good bars, good people, good transportation and a nice landscape. Did military swrvice there like many others from Stockholm. Miss it sometimes

I find small towns in Sweden to be somewhat less exciting, to be honest. Malmö, Gothenburg, and Stockholm are the real hotspots, in my opinion. Jönköping does have its is nice as well even tho its small. I was there for DreamHack this year, and I must admit, the location and the surroundings is quite charming.

There is no difference at all, maybe a bit cheaper than the larger cities (like Stockholm or Gothenburg). But compared to other, same sized cities, not difference.

@@zatzulu2506 Rent sure as hell is different. And if you factor in distance to things, though less options, you save money on travel. And restaurants are probably also cheaper, though you shouldn't go to restaurants to begin with if you care about money.
