You could have saved a bit of money taking the Pendeltåg to Uppsala , a bit more stops but cheaper and if you had a day pass for stockholm you just needed a much smaller transfer fee to Uppsala from Märsta ;)

It is true that Uppsala is a university city. The university was founded in 1477, Uppsala and Lund have the oldest universities in Sweden and there is certainly some rivalry between them as to which is the best. One thing you can do cheaply in Sweden is the museums, they usually cost very little, sometimes nothing at all. Stockholm subway is also a large art museum.

Next time we’ll visit the museums for sure! 🥰🤗

@@WyattandReyka There are about 80 museums in Stockholm alone, so you have plenty to do.

I love Uppsala, it reminds me of Amsterdam. Lots of old buildings, bike trails everywhere, the river that runs through it...

Very nice video about the city I live in. But I do not understand why many KZbinrs are making such a fuss about Sweden being expensive. With the current exchange rate, it really isn't. Many countries in Europe are more expensive than Sweden. Like, Switzerland (40% more expensive than Sweden and the priciest in the world), Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Ireland, Luxemburg, UK. Also the USA is quite a bit more expensive than Sweden (except gasoline). Most other countries in Western Europe have an average price level that is just barely below Swedens. By the way if you buy the train ticket in the ticket machine or the app, it will be a bit cheaper.

Amazing that you live in uppsala. And thanks for the comment. Generally speaking, Sweden is probably the most expensive country we’ve been to personally, besides Switzerland. And maybe Finland. Plus, with Scandinavia’s reputation in general as expensive, we figured folks would like a good video from here 🤗

@@WyattandReyka As with most things it is an old myth. It is from the 50s and 60s when Sweden was the third richest country in the world.

Thanks for the video guys. But i dont think that train ticket is expensive. 12-13(10-11 euros) dollars per person isnt that much. Bus ticket is for example 5 euros.

If you stay in the town center (cathedral, university buildings/museum/library, castle, botanical garden etc.) you really don't need to rent a bike. But if you got the bikes and the weather is nice, I would recommend a ride to Old Uppsala, just north of the modern town.
