I did a yakatabune dinner tour up the sumida as a tourist on my honeymoon, it was so fun! It was nomihoudai (all you can drink), the food was really good, and everyone was so nice and friendly. There was only one other foreign couple on the boat, we ended up hanging out with them after haha. Japanese salarymen brought us sake and kids were practicing their English with us. 6:16 Chris, as you're currently in the UK and especially if the book tour in Germany happens, you might wanna check out the Miniatur Wunderland (eng.: Miniature Wonderland) in the port of Hamburg in northern Germany. It holds the world record for the largest model railway system in the world and it's just flabbergasting how big and complex the whole thing is. It sounds like you (both) would very much enjoy it! It spans several floors, depicts places from all over the world and is filled with hundreds of small little easter eggs (as a public figure you might even have the chance to get a figure of yourself placed there). And on top of that it's located in Hamburg's warehouse district called Speicherstadt which is over 130 years old, built in the Gothic Revival architectural style and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so you might also enjoy seeing the architecture.
