Ahhhh, this was my first ever Rolex Sports Car Series race. And I immediately fell in love with the series. ALMS had expensive cars, but not so good racing. Rolex Sports Car was such a nice entertainment, unfortunately so underrated.

Yeah, Rolex always seemed to be the beer to ALMS's champagne. I preferred the higher-tech, sleeker cars in ALMS but no doubt Rolex had the more consistently good racing since no one team was dominant unlike Audi in LMP back in the day.

i really love these weird looking early daytona prototypes...

They're wonderfully quirky lol. The regs definitely made it hard for them to look properly sleek and racy and some were just butt ugly like the Fabcar but some looked pretty good - I always quite liked the Dorans myself.

These Daytona Prototype look ugly but sound good especially the Lexus.

Yeah, the DPs were seriously wanting in aesthetics for the most part but they delivered in other important areas :D
