2018's ford gte has that sexy paddle shift compressor... it just belongs on the car, pretty sad that there's not so much onboard with it compared to the prior years.

What is that whirring noise? Is it an extra oil pump for high g-loads?

It's a compressor for the paddle shift system. Ford must've switched to a different system for 2018, don't think they used to make that sound.

They didn't in last years on boards. It's also possible the air compressor was moved closer to the camera/mic or vice versa.
