@@CheriptheRipper 2011 was an interesting year for audi. Alan mcnish's early massive crash, then dumais crashing the second audi in the middle of the night, leaving one audi to battle against the 3 Peugeots for the rest of the race was quite exciting to watch. The thing is though most 24 hour races have their own crazy story, like the daytona 24h that stands out I think it was also 2011,where ganassi racing went like 2 laps down at the beginning of The race to change a gearbox and then blitzed the rest of the race and won, or the insane corvette battle and photo finish at the end of the 2016 daytona 24h
@teguh.hofstee4 жыл бұрын
@@CheriptheRipper 2018 was actually a lot of fun too despite it basically being Toyota vs Toyota. It seemed like the race was trending towards the No.8 car placing 2nd because they had a stop-go penalty and were over 2 minutes behind the No.7 car. Then Alonso and Nakajima pulled insane night stints closing the gap down to 40 seconds, bringing the car back into competition and eventually going on to win the race that year. I was a lot more entertained than I was expecting that year. There are many more historic moments, but that's a more recent one that I think will get underlooked a lot. For more drama, you could look at the Mercedes CLR flips.

Mark Webber flipped another Mercedes (actually his second flip) before the race during the warm up going at the small hill before Mulsanne corner, so that sounds like Jani referred to, just using the footage from crash of Peter Dumbreck during the race?
