Why call it a Chinese bike just because its build there? Well I guess apple and everything build there should b called Chinese also. I believe if I remember correctly benelli TNT was designed in Italy.

Whoever says its chinese he or she should define from which angle this looks or feels like a chinese bike. Its reliable but like any other European bikes its not as reliable as japanese but its quality makes it very reliable and one can use it decades after DECADES with proper maintenance.

Oh look a snowflake woke. Benelli motorcycle is a Chinese company since 2005. They're Chinese made and owned bikes that brand itself with an Italian name. Stop being so offensive. I'm Asian and I wasn't offended and will never buy this POS junk built by the lowest bidder sourced parts.

@ohlala lala Not an Italian brand, it's a Chinese brand that uses an established Italian name. It's like Volvo is now Chinese, bought by Geely. Since Geely is only popular in China, they kept the established name Volvo which is known globally.

I suppose not all things from china ‘must’ be cheaply made and function badly… The best part for them is that the parts they don’t need to be of high performance are easier to obtain, and probably cheaper. That, in combination with being a lesser-known brand can result in a cheaper priced bike being about as well built as the competition, where it matters. Plus, Benelli was founded 113 years ago and has been owned by Zhejiang Quinjiang Motorcycle (who’ve been in business since 1985 - for 39 years now) since 2005 and they’re still making great bikes of various sizes. Partnering with SSR for importation probably saved a pretty penny as well. Little side note about their QC since I own one of these, I’ve noticed just about every single fastener on these have a little paint pen tick mark, indicating they’ve all been fastened correctly. It’s a nice touch of reassurance, and gives the ability going forward to notice if any of them would start to loosen.

Ok I fell in love with the benelli 135 a little over a year ago pretty much Right after I saw it and have been waiting to see one up close and actually see it and to see the aftermarket stuff that comes up... And I was wondering where do I go to test ride one?( I live in Reno, NV) and where did you get the crank at? and is there anything else available like bore kit, cam, ect? And thanks for the video makes me want one even more.

Too funny seeing you guys all tired and faded out trying to talk. Hahaha I get the same way when I'm tired and blown out. It would've been cool if they capped off the class at 135cc bikes with 12in wheel size. Stock or modded class. I live in PA and have nothing fun like this to do with my z125. I own a tnt 135. Stock tires are shit. Might as well be plastic. I lost a shifter bolt and had to find it on the side of the street. Exhaust bolts were loose the first time I rode it and ended up having a terrible exhaust leak. I had to adjust the throttle cable after 200 miles. It cuts off intermittently on normal rides at random times, causing me to have to pull off the road, put it in neutral and start it again. I love the bike, it's fun when I'm not having to turn wrenches on it before the 1st 500 miles. Oh, and it hates the cold... runs like shit. I guess you get what you pay for, but for 3 grand out of the dealer, I feel robbed.

There's merit for this idea. I'm thinking they could set up two different style of races. One for Chinese bikes specifically like 125-250 class endurance racing. It can be open to domestic, Euro, and Japanese bikes in the same displacement. And another class of slow cruiser racers (V-twins). Maybe a 500cc - 1200cc twin cylinder class endurance racing. Sportsters vs Bolts vs Royal Enfields vs Triumphs. Break them down by classes.

Reading the write-up, I'm not exactly so sure this proves the Benelli TNT 135's reliability.....low on oil and averaged 35mpg? Granted is on a track, but that's still worse than most sub-1000cc bikes on a racetrack
@TroySiahaan
@TroySiahaan 6 жыл бұрын
For context, other teams brought entire spare engines (some even brought more than one), and all the tools necessary to perform an engine swap, if needed. I'm happy with our bike drinking a little oil. Also, go ride any sub-1000cc sportbike with the throttle to the stop for 24 hours and let me know what kind of fuel consumption you get.
@DearMajesty
@DearMajesty 6 жыл бұрын
I know most ICE's will probably burn a little oil when run really hard, but it seemed excessive. I've ridden my buddy's built 170cc Grom for a few hundred miles and it's never dropped below 70mpg nor consumed oil...and it gets ridden pretty hard. My buddy's CBR600RR will get low to mid 30's at the racetrack. Maybe I'm just being overly cautious, but that was definitely something that caught my eye about the Benelli. Otherwise, it looks like a really cool bike.
