Wow, that ferry ride looks like quite the adventure! The Mediterranean views, the stunning sunset, and the coastline of Algiers are just breathtaking.

I would have never thought of taking a ferry on that route, it simply never crossed my mind! And 24 hours seems so long 😅 But it looks quite good on your video, except the delayed food 😅

Haha, it didn't seem too long at all when I was doing it - I just looked on it as a Mediterranean cruise with only one stop!

I've seen a new video from Algeria but then it get deleted, probably by you. Is it going to appear again? Great trip! I also love using land transport where possible, including steam trains or coaches. Once I went on a trip by coach from Warsaw to France, Spain and Portugal-15 days, 9 thousand km. It was great. Hugs from Poland.

Hello, yes I realised it didn't export fully so re-exported and uploaded - it's live now! Thanks, yes me too. That's fantastic, train travel in Europe is excellent! :)

Great YiuTube and not one which has been covered a lot. 30 years ago I wanted to visit Algiers but, at that time, there was a security situation and the embassy in London dissuaded me from applying for a visa. Michael Palin covered Algeria and, once when he was on a train, the camera swung round to show his companions were armed security guards.

Thank you! Ah yes, 30 years ago would have been in the midst of the Civil War so security was very different! We had a police escort for one of the places we visited (Taghit in the desert), it's something that's been in place for a long time and has prevented any security issues so they're reluctant to get rid of it I think - that and we were going through a fairly sensitive area. Felt perfectly safe though!

Yeh, on that time this country crossed a terrible and harmful period of safety loss. We got a great lesson and now we are 'experts' on this field.

I've also taken a ferry from Europe to Africa! Not nearly as extensive as yours though. It was just from Tarifa, Spain, to Tangier, Morocco, only lasting an hour. I do love ferries though, but I've never been on a long one. I'm curious how you liked Algeria. I liked some things about Morocco a lot but really didn't like others.

That's on my list too - I love the idea of hopping from Europe to North Africa in such a short amount of time! I loved Algeria. There's so much to do - history, landscapes, Mediterranean beaches, fascinating cities - and the people are on the whole exceptionally friendly. I'm working on a few videos and will upload over the next few weeks!

Do you know that the famous drink ''orangina'' was basically produced in Algeria and co- founded on 1936 by French and Algerian orange producers? Then on 1980 the French guy wins the licence by justice and know another guy from Japan owns the company.
