Well, the pitches I've seen from Waldron spin a bit too much to consistently act like a knuckleball, but he does a great job of spinning it forward so it acts more like a forkball in the low 80's. A very effective MLB pitch but not a true Knuckleball

I do know how to throw a good-ish knuckleball, but I'm not consistent and it also has way to much topspin

Top spin is where you want to start. It's still competitive so long as it's hard enough. Then, over the years, you start peeling the spin back until it's a full fledged knuckleball. Charlie Hough, my main mentor, says it takes 1,000 innings, but I remember it took RA Dickey about 5 years to master (I learned the knuck from Charlie next to RA in the early goings). But use it as a changeup/forkball until you start fluttering then consistently... I'm the knuck master in the video, btw
