As someone who has now played in the MCLA and played against plenty of D1 players as well, I would say that on an individual level their are certain players who could definitely play D1 but as a whole these teams would get smoked by a D1 squad, too many mistakes on either side of the ball and not strong enough defenses to really compete

Mitchell, this content is legendary. You need to go to BYU and UVU in Utah. Two of the top MCLA schools and the universities are a couple miles apart. The competition is great and the drama is intense. The players all played against each other in High School. A documentary interviewing both the teams before they play each other in April would be huge. I’d pull up and show you around. One of my great friends is the OC for UVU. I could line it up.

Lucky enough to live in an area that has a good, but not ranked D1 team, a D2 (top 20 ranking) team, and 2 highly rated MCLA teams (perennial top 10 and regular top 5) The two club teams scrimmage the D2 school every year and win their fair share. Neither the can touch the D1 school. Oh, both MCLA teams played Liberty this year, one group won the other lost. Both games were within two goals. So no, Liberty would not be a competitive D1 program as is. They'd need a few years to recruit and fill the holes a D1 team would exploit.
