I'll throw in a comment again, since I spent a dozen years in SW Montana (Twin Bridges). If I had to guess you're on Blacktail... up the Beaverhead. Just my guess... Again the Grizzly Bears love trout too, and the chokecherries and occasional trout fisherman. That thick brush along the creek makes for perfect habitat. Grant... Noah looks like he can outrun you. But the good news is a good mauling video will go viral! Be safe, have fun.

To everyone crying that he blew this spot up, the access points to this creek had 10+ trucks from 5 states in the parking lot 10 years ago. From the looks of it they are handling the pressure just fine.

If it's not a managed private stretch ... you did indeed find a gem of a stream. Biggest fish could be lake or big river spawners, though. Also, if fish are coming up to inspect your foam dry and not taking, add a perdigon or beadhead dropper to get more hook-ups.

Grant, even if you were unpermitted, in some yet to be unnamed fishery in Montana... For the entertainment value alone, I'd visit you in Prison. But sad to say, your cell mate, may make you his 'itch.' Great video dude. Congrats again on getting married... FYI, I fished some of those headwater streams when I lived in SW Montana. I never saw one, but I did find Grizzly sign.

@fireflyfishing Great video. One small suggestion for you - you might try a right hand retrieve on your reel since you are a left handed caster. Will help when fighting these monsters and when you get into saltwater fishing it is a must.

@adventurfly8794 ай бұрын
@jonrussell276 that's a good thing. I'm a guide in oregon. Fly-fishing is a sport for any and all. Not just for you bud. And I'd prefer new fly fishers from youtube hire me or whoever to learn basic etiquette. Everybody has their opinion of fly youtubers. But everything is on the internet these days so this was always going to happen whether we like it or not. My truly special places will never be named. At least not correctly anyways. Can't fault a person too much for sharing what they like to do........
@tcritty28124 ай бұрын
@@adventurfly879 yeah I’m sure you would prefer it 😂
@adventurfly8794 ай бұрын
@tcritty2812 I care about the etiquette part. Nobody likes some gaper newbie low holeing you. And I'd prefer none of this existed and you had to earn your spots with experience, sweat, and trying them out like we used to. Now you can click a video and get a huge head start. But since everything is on the interweb best we can do is adapt.

Jake the reason why they don’t say is not because they are toxic. They had the river to themselves, if they post where they wouldn’t. There clues. Cutthroat means the Rockies. The other clue is that they are in a desert. With a little bit of research, you should be able to figure out about where they are. The best way to ruin a fishing spot is post it on KZbin.
@EeRock5074 ай бұрын
I’ve tried to find the spot with the time stamps not to fish it as I’m nowhere close to Montana or Idaho but to see if it’s just that easy. Trying hard many hours no luck. If he fished a closed system that’s on him but this stream looks identical to about a thousand western streams. Jesus give the guide a break because yal really have no clue if he did anything wrong. If a hill gave away the video you have already been there lol. Geezus

I'm all for posting videos showing respectful appreciation for a place, but you should really remove the clickbait headline, even if it means you get fewer views. It's not hard to figure out where this is, and it doesn't need even more pressure from exaggerated bragging. A 24-inch trout in every hole? I've done well there many times, and my largest wasn't quite 24. I'm sure they're around, but not in every hole.
