Lawall wrote in 2016 24 Préludes in all keys. After 5 years all of them are united. The diversive compositions show a wide spectrum of the classical guitar. They where recorded on historic ground, 1-6 in the church of Gruorn, a swabian village, which was a victim of military needs. During a benefitconcert Lawall also played this meditative and deep works.
This work might be Lawalls guitaristic magnum opus. On the piano from Bach to Chopin and Skrijabin it was normal to go through all keys, but a guitarcomposer didn't pick up the task so far. 7-12 was filmed in the magnificient Schönstattzentrum Rottenburg Liebfrauenhöhe.
13-18 where filmed at Lawalls 69th birthday in his livingroom. The last set 19-24 where filmed in march 2022 in the wild and romantic 'Fränkischen Schweiz‘ near Nürnberg. The last chord is the the opening bell of no.1 !!!
