#24 Sumpu Castle Park, Shizuoka

Sumpu Castle was once the home of Tokugawa Ieyasu, one of the most well-known Shogun and important figures in Japanese history. The castle itself burned down in 1635 and wasn't rebulit. Now there are some reconstrauctions of parts of the castle with small museums inside, a rather lovely garden, the outer moat and a large park.
