oh my gosh, they are all so cute. Actualy it's funny to watch when there's being a little bit silence, then all the girls will look at Ryujin. Before Lia went on hiatus, she was presenting english language in Itzy, but now it turns to Ryujin and she handles this so good. Itzy is a world group and always will be like that. English queens

They all studied English for several years because they know how popular and loved they are by international MIDZYs. They're still very shaky at times but they try their best to communicate with I-MIDZYs, including this interviewer who is obviously a MIDZY too. 😊 You're right, Lia is ITZY's default English respondent and translator. But with Lia on hiatus, Ryujin has to take over this duty and be the group's English spokesperson and translator. Good thing Ryujin is a Potterhead and a Gossip Girls fan. She also took private English lessons, so she's more advanced and comfortable speaking English. 😉

@ClickTubed Yeah, they studied so hard. We can see that even 2 years ago they weren't that good, but now I can say that every member in Itzy can speak English fluently. But I'm so sad because at this interview, Chaeryeong was often quit and scared to answer the question. When I watched they videos from past, I was enjoying listening to her, while she was speaking in English

@@vernetta- Chaeryeong was exhausted this day and weeks prior. I saw her inside GMA studios before they came to SiriusXM to do this interview. She looked dazed and tired. So was Yuna and Yeji. This was a crazy busy and tiring day for them.

It's pretty obvious this guy Michael Tam is a MIDZY. He kept up to date with a lot of ITZY details and asked a lot of great questions here. Couldn't have picked a better person to interview ITZY. I met ITZY up close inside GMA studio in NYC the same day they did this interview. They are truly beautiful, kind, gracious, incredible people, inside out. They're like little angels in real life, glowing with a special aura not many people in this world has. Was sad I wasn't able to meet Lia but maybe one day I can see her face to face too. She's my favorite artist and such a wonderful person. 🥰

thanks for posting the interview! haha, the ending is very deja vu to last year when they were performing cheshire on good day new york. chaeryeong also said they were preparing for a comeback and another member also said they always are in order to maintain a mild air of mystery heh heh

Chaeryeong and Ryujin both said they're always preparing for and making comebacks because they're exhausted and tired of not getting any meaningful rest in between world tours, comebacks/album releases, and CB promotions. It's not to maintain an air of mystery. Ryujin even said it's no secret they're always working on a new CB because she's fed up with it, but can't outright criticize JYPE/Div2 in public. JYPE overworked ITZY, just like they overworked TWICE. 2 TWICE members had to take hiatuses because of how overwhelmed they were. Lia also had to take a hiatus because ITZY didn't get any significant rest from Checkmate world tour onward. Lia has anemia and isn't built like the other members, so she got very sick physically and mentally, and was forced into a long hiatus. All members except Ryujin were exhausted the day they did this interview. Yeji almost fell asleep standing up. Chaeryeong almost fell asleep eating and filming a vlog a week earlier. Chae also complains about being tired and sleepy all the time this tour. Yuna is also exhausted but tries her best not to show it publicly. Ryujin is the only member who seems to have enough energy to push through their insane schedules.

@@ClickTubed Comentando sobre el ultimo párrafo, pienso que Ryujin debía dar todo de si, pues era la responsable de llevar la carga de responder la mayor parte de la entrevista, pienso que después de eso quedaría exhausta, en cuanto a las demás miembros psicologicamente no tenían esa presión y por eso mentalmente y físicamente estaban en la fase de comenzar el descanso, claro, es mi opinión, puedo estar equivocado.

I think the members are particularly nervous because they're not their usual selves. Lia is the person who conducts the interviews in English, except that she's in hiatus. So Ryujin is the second member who speaks most in English. All the members look at her because they're not particularly comfortable speaking in English, although I think she's doing very well. It's the first time I've felt Lia's absence in the group.Lia is the most outspoken member of the band, so it's only natural to notice a huge gap when the interviews are in English.

Keep in mind, ITZY was exhausted and jetlagged during this interview. They just performed in Mexico and Chile, and had to immediately fly to NYC for a GMA appearance & performance very early in the morning. I witnessed them dazed and tired on the GMA stage. Everyone except Ryujin looked out of it when cameras weren't on. After GMA, they went straight to the top of Empire State Building to do an Instagram photoshoot in thin, short clothing, freezing their butts off. Then they went straight to Republic Records and SiriusXM for more interviews after that. It got so bad, Yeji almost fell asleep standing up at Empire State Building. Not having Lia here did put pressure on Ryujin to do most of the speaking and translating for ITZY. I don't think they were nervous and uncomfortable. I think they looked a bit off and quiet here because it was an extremely busy, exhausting, and crazy day for them. JYPE puts them on these ridiculous schedules and doesn't give them enough rest.

ITZY has already promised multiple cities/countries that they will be back with Lia next tour. Ryujin spoke about Lia doing her best to come back very soon. Lia will be back around 4th quarter of 2024, after ITZY's world tour ends. ITZY is expected to have another major comeback by then with her.
