Like my grand father used a 220 swift for deer and under and 375 for the rest as a guide he had some incredible shots out to 400 with the swift and saved a few people having the 375 in hand he had a hh magnum then got a ruger guide gun some beautiful and his swift ive never need more impressive kill shots then with a hot loaded swift at heavier than 55 grain and up

I hunt white tails.. I love my 243,, , I'm more of a shotgun man take close shots but the few deer I have killed out about 100 yards or so. I dropped them on,the spot. Light recoil. And flat shooting I've seen people take deer out to 300 yards. With one. I got and old ruger mark 77. Very accurate. Glad y'all had fun. I remember hunting with my grandpaw. He taught me how to hunt best memories. Of hunting I ever had. I'm,old man now and my granddaddy has. Been gone long. Ago. But every hunting season I think about him with fond memories. ,

The first deer I ever shot was with a .243, that shot being the first time I ever shot a gun lol. My dad said I had buck fever after shooting the deer but I knew I had gun fever! God bless you and your sons.
