Chad… excellent! As usual, you captured the essence of the answer to the question, “How does it work?” I have the Briggs & Stratton surface washer. It works the same way… a rotating arm with jets under the cover. My pressure washed is only 2500psi but nonetheless it does a fine job, My favorite thing is that it doesn’t leave spray patterns like a spray nozzle does. If you take your time and don’t change speed or use crazy patterns the surface comes out uniform. And the fact that it acts as a weed whacker on the growth in the cracks… is a bonus. I also agree with you on the use of soap. I never have seen a difference. The only chemical that I use is a mold and algae inhibitor on siding and decks. That I usually apply with a hand sprayer before I wash… it is easier to control. Again, I enjoyed the demo.

So true! The advantage to the surface cleaner is that as long as you're not over 3300 psi, the surface cleaner works at such an angle that it's not supposed to damage the surface. I have seen some videos though of older/cracked cement floors, or really old porches, that splinter under the pressure. The surface cleaner is much safer to use on a surface though than the 0 degree setting on the adjustable nozzle. Thanks for watching! Have a great Saturday.

Probably a dumb question but does having wheels make it easier to use? Or does the pressure of the water sort of make the surface cleaner "hover" over the concrete? I thought without wheels it would be a pain to push back and forth. Thank you!

Great question. There is very little resistance using the surface cleaner even on rough sidewalks. The pressure from the water creates that hover/hydroplane feeling and it moves along much like a vacuum cleaner on hardwood flooring.

Hi Bob - The pressure washer with the adjustable nozzle on fan mode doesn't clean the sidewalk nearly as well. Using the 40 degree or 20 degree fan setting, it won't remove any of that black from the cement. At the 0 degree setting, it will, but only about 3/4 inch wide at a time. And the manual says never to use the 0 degree setting on wood, concrete, vinyl, etc. because it can actually crumble the surface. So the best option to clean a cement floor (garage floor, driveway pad, or sidewalk) is to use the 15" surface cleaner. You probably could use it on any pressure washer, as long as the connection system was the same fitting. Thanks for watching and asking the question.

Not that I know of. It's a pretty simple device - pressured water in the inlet forces the nozzles to spin and spray under the dome. It works great!

Nice video! Do you know if that will connect to an electric pressure washer? I only buy electric or battery powered equipment. I’m tired of dealing with carburetors. Also I love your new wood splitter. Can’t wait to see more videos splitting firewood.

Hi Richard - I'm not sure what connection the Ryobi electric pressure washer uses. I know that I've had a few electric pressure washers in the past, and they did not have the same type of connection as this one does for connecting the want/nozzle/surface cleaner. Thanks for watching.

@@PurpleCollarLife no problem brother I gotta get one of these surface cleaners got the 2300 ryobi gas pw today I purchased the weed trimmer / edger extender. Worked great but a piece of the shield on the edger cracked something flew through it.

@@PurpleCollarLife my dads 65 now back in the days he had a 1973 Mac 1 he was a mechanic so he built it up. Put a bunch of stuff in it new headers straight pipes and so on and so forth. He said he used to smoke vettes and a lot of other cars. Said the thing was so loud and fast off the line. I want a GT bad hopefully in the future when I have a better paying job.
