They keep talking about remaking Casablanca and it physically hurts every time I hear that. This is my favorite movie of all time and it's perfect. Don't wait for a remake, watch the original; make your children watch the original lol.

Oh God, NOOOOO!! A remake of Casablanca would be like someone trying to carve a duplicate of Rodin's great sculpture "The Thinker" out of a block of cheese!

No better host than Robert Osborn ... I could listen to him all day, still have him on a CD I burned with him and Drew Barrymore introducing the cult classic "Freaks". Wish he were still around.

Very interesting facts about a wonderful film. I must watch more classic black and white films.

What hasn't been commented upon through the filming and then release over Thanksgiving 1942 was the planned US invasion of North Africa at that pricise location which must have had alot of military people in Washington VERY NERVOUS as the film was being ready for release, possibly they held up releasing it until AFTER the invasion became public.
@darkwood7772 жыл бұрын
On the contrary, the release was rushed to coincide as closely as possible to the day of the invasion, because FDR wanted it so.

I also miss Jeffrey Osborne. He always presented each film with such class. Just the sound of his voice compelled me to stop what I was doing and listen no matter how far away I was from the tv at that moment.
