To be honest, the Electrica (_car_) ran perfectly. Our Chinese _RC CAR_ chargers, on the other hand, were not up to the task of charging a full sized car. (RC car LiPo, single digit Ah. Chevy volt repurposed system, several thousand Ah.) To say there are a few cliffs along the learning curve would be fair. It'll be back at both CMP events this year. (Duff - the civic - will be at NCM and Atlanta) Drivers, on the other hand... Once it warmed up a bit, so the batteries could actually work, Roger smoked two high-voltage fuses. The first because the muppet was driving around in 4th gear all the time. The second popped instantly because his foot only has one setting. I took the cooked fuse to the judges -- I didn't know you could "blue" copper.
