Yes! As a touring musician I’ve had the privilege of seeing our country many times over, and spending time in the gem that is Saskatoon. Not to mention, Saskatchewan in general, is gorgeous! The northern part of the province has some gorgeous camping, lakes and beaches!

Moved away from Sask to BC in 2016 and seeing this video brought back some good memories. When I saw you were at Odd Couple, before you even mentioned you were having the Crab Rangoon, that's what immediately came to mind. The food there is delicious. Saskatoon at one point, and may still have, the most restaurants in Canada per capita. There are so many great restaurants. Another great restaurant in Stoon is Las Palapas. It's a must stop every year when I am back for a visit. Thanks for sharing

I have lived in Saskatoon for 23 years, my family moved here when I was only 9. I have always lived in Saskatchewan, but we moved around a lot. Saskatoon is definitely my favorite city I have lived in. The trails through the trees down by the river are gorgeous and good exercise! Makes you feel like your not even in the city at all!

Very nicely done from the plane ride in to the food delights of Toon town ! Thanks for the insight there - it’s been a small while since I have been there from Ontario but what I really enjoyed was the people - they were naturally warm and outgoing ! I have been there both at -43C (without the wind-chill) to +27C it’s always great there !

What a lovely video. My husband and I were just talking and thinking of moving from Red Deer. Now as he was born in Battleford he quickly smiled hard and said Saskatoon. I've never been there but this video has perked my curiosity. I always think of it as so far North but on a map you draw a line from Red Deer to Saskatoon and guess what LoL nope there both the same. Your winters are a little more colder too. I think a visit is needed and maybe a detour to the Berry Barn.

@@AlinaMcleod ----- If you make a future video about Saskatoon, Alina, make sure to mention that it is the hometown of one of the WORLD's most highly regarded and highly respected singer-songwriters, Joni Mitchell, who has a list to her credit of the highest music industry awards and peer and fan accolades that is so long few other music artists can match it, I would have to write a long paragraph here to name them all one after the other. Joni was born in Fort MacLeod Alberta, spent her young childhood in small towns in Saskatchewan, but considers Saskatoon to be her hometown as that is where she moved to at about age 10 and lived to about age 20. Joni is obviously from another music generation than yours, but she was one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 1960's, 70s and 80s and was a fixture at many of the most famous music festivals of that era, she is still alive and recently has won some additional high level awards, including Kennedy Center Honors in her adopted country of the USA..........she considers herself a dual citizen of Canada and the USA as that is where she had most of her success and has lived in Los Angeles most of her life, but has long had a second home in the Sechelt district north of Vancouver. As an example of her status her 1972 album "Blue" was named THIRD "most influential music album of all time" on a list of the top 500 music albums in that category (out of tens of thousands ever recorded and published world-wide in the last 100 years) by Rolling Stone Magazine, she has also won twice the Grammy Award for Best Album of the year, the most prestigious of all Grammy Awards, she has said she developed her music style playing for friends as a teen at beach parties at lakes north of Prince Albert Saskatchewan.

As I've stated Saskatoon is my favorite prairie city it just has it's own vibe. Whenever driving east or west it's a stopping point. Alina you know that "" Not Bad" for most farmers and ranchers is pretty high praise. In past years, I've occasionally booked something through Flight Centers, but never in Saskatoon. I wonder what my reaction would be if I realized that the globe trotting KZbinr I'm watching, had booked some trip for me years earlier.

I'm currently living in Victoria and don't really like it here. I used to live in Vancouver and loved the city but I can't move back because the cost of living is too high there, not to mention the traffic, high rate of crimes, etc. A friend is encouraging me to move to Saskatchewan and I'm actually considering it. My biggest concern is the harsh winter. I like to know more about how people manage daily life in -40?

It was fun as a kid, visiting Saskatoon in the winter. We stayed at the Sheraton, which had a small waterslide and a hot tub. And a nice lil 70s/80s style restaurant. And the Sheraton is right across from the Bessborough-which brought upon me all kinds of nightmares whilst peering across the view at it. Of course, it's quite lovely. But something about it lent itself to horror stories. One highlight, too, was eating at TACO TIME. I was from Kindersley, so we didn't have any kinda taco joint to hit up. As well, there was a mall that was underground. Which is pretty sci-fi. Used to love getting an Orange Julius in the place.

Beautiful! Great video! I've lived in two different countries, three different provinces, and Saskatoon has, and will always be home. I've been back for 12 years, and I just love it.

Thank you for this video, it is helping me to appreciate what this province has to offer. In my 40s I couldn't wait to get away from Saskatchewan, but after a few years Abroad i am rediscovering good old Saskatchewan. Very well done.

This week I learned that Saskatoon is derived from the Cree word “Mis-sask-quah-toomina”, and the city is actually named after the berry. Not the other way around!

I live in Saskatoon. It is not too bad of a city in my opinion. Biggest plus I would say is the affordability compared to other cities in Canada. Can't wait for your road trip vlogs around Saskatchewan!

Really loved this video. It was so relaxing to watch and it was great to see you with your Dad and Friend. The accompanying soundtrack was awesome too. Can't wait for the next one.

That pie looked fantastic. I am so glad you have been showing the West Coast. Makes me want to go home. But then, as you pointed out, I remember how cold the winters are and realise how fortunate I am to be in Melbourne. I hope you get back to Australia and do some videos here. Safe travels!!

Born and raised here in Saskatoon, I also agree that it is an under-rated city! 🤘🤘🌞🌞

Thank you very much Alina for this beautiful tour with your dad in this fantastic city. Everything was nice and also the food looked amazing. The several bridges crossing the river are truly awesome.

Beautiful video, I grew up there and loved everyday in my home city. I miss it now and hope to return someday as the people there are great and it has the best living sky's on a hot summer night.

Since this place has a special meaning in your life and you can get to rediscover it with your father, I imagine it was a different kind of travel than you are used to. I personally had never heard of it, so, unlike you, I’m disovering it as a new place through your lenses and a lot of people that will watch this video will feel the same. Therefore, doing what you do, you have the capability of mixing these different types of experiences for yourself and for your followers.
