This is a gold plated spoon, not a 24k gold spoon. Big difference.

yes you're right it's 24k gold plated spoon. Usually 24k pure gold is too soft and prone to staining. So when they receive an Olympic medal, the athletes hold a ceremony to check it by biting it with their teeth. Therefore, 24k pure gold spoons are often used as gifts rather than in real life. thanks for the comment . :)
