Thank you for updating us all. I hate to see you in pain. I have no hair cause I’m still doing chemo for my stage 3 breast cancer. I do look forward to growing it back after all my treatments. I can’t imagine the mental anguish you and Mrs Sarge are going through. You are both in my prayers. I hope it’s not cancer but it’s a wait n see game. Its my birthday today, but I am sick, but the best way to celebrate any day is to have a damned good cup of coffee and celebrate that we woke up this morning. Did an MRI on my brain recently and my doc said "there's nothing up there, to which I replied, "I could have told you that before the NRI doc" Will pray very hard you hear those very words. Dear Sarge, i was also worried about losing my hair. But when it happened it was actually a relief.. but i had longer hair than you have. For some crazy reason i felt healthier when it was gone. It was hard when it kept falling but one night i asked one of the nurses to bring a trimmer and we shaved it all off. I felt free after that..nothing to keep remembering me i actually was really sick. Stay strong and we are with you and Mrs Sarge all the way ♡

I have an atypical brain pain that is caused by a nerve and a blood vessel rubbing together. It causes hard sharp pains in my face and head.. They used to call it suicide disease but its really called trigeminal neuralgia. Usually, a cool breeze in the face can set it off but sometimes it zaps you out of the blue. Some report a shock like feeling but mine just feel like someone is pressing their thumb into my brain. I take a small dose of gabapentin and it is 95 percent gone, so chin up it may not be cancer at all. if it is, I know three people that have it, and the radiation has worked for them for about seven years so far. Only one is a little absent minded all are doing well.

My mom had trigeminal neuralgia too, it went away eventually but took a long time. We live in Florida, there is a doctor here who specializes in gamma knife surgery. His name is Aizik Wolf, M.D., he says the pain is often misdiagnosed as dental pain. Hope your pain resolves soon, gabapentin is very helpful.

Payers for the best possible out come with you're scans Sarge. Radiation makes hair come out in patches that they are doing the radiation on in most cases it doesn't make all the hair fall out. That's what kind of treatment I had. #STAYSARGESTRONG!

I treated Hospice patients for 7 years. I so understand the fear of brain mets. I will be praying the MRI is negative. Just know that even if it is: palliative teams can do a lot with radiation/steroids/morphine combinations. Since brain mets are rare with colon CA: I'll believe in statistics & praying & #staysargestrong. Gob bless you & the Mrs.

praying and anxious to hear about your MRI...i have a friend that was doing chemo for a ''terminal'' brain cancer. that was 2 years ago. now he's cancer free, back to truck driving, and back on his harley. lol. he has some memory loss, but he deals with it. and on the hair thing. i'd let my hair grow long for the first time in 30 yrs when i found my lump. drs told me i'd lose it after about the 2nd chemo. damned if i was gonna let the chemo take it. me and my daughter buzzed it before the 1st chemo. i wore a camo Army cap the whole time i was bald. never a wig. but lemme tell ya, lady. if i looked as good as you will bald, i'd sure keep mine shaved. my head's a lil' "warped" or something. anyhow. just keep up your attitude and your faith. God's SOOO Good!!!

Hey Sarge, I have been following you a while and I enjoy your updates. I was dx with 2 brain tumors about 4 years ago. As far as we know, they are not cancer but still cause problems such has headaches and seizures. When you first mention headaches, the first thing I thought was that it has spread to your brain. The head aches feels like someone is stabbing me with an ice pick and I lights hurt my eyes. Sometimes I end up throwing up to ease the pain but if I lay down in a cool and dark place, the pain soften some. I would recommend an MRI with contrast (dye). I have to have one ever 6 months. MRI with contract picks up any tumor or cancer better than other scans. Feel free to private message me if you have any questions. Laura

It was 2 months later when we discovered that she had stage 4 tumour on her frontal lobe. I don't want to say anything else unless you want to know about what we did. You are truly a person that I would love to have as a friend because your are so honest and loving. I hope you will be hearing from more people since I have mentioned your illness on Emily Hayward's KZbin channel. If you don't know about her, I suggest you check out her videos; she and her wife are absolutely amazing. They live in England and are so awesome. Emily has been battling skin cancer for years now, she''s very young, and she has several brain tumors. She has undergone radiation, and she has footage of the treatments. She also describes in detail all of the side affects she has had, including the hair loss, so I hope this helps you. She is an incredible person, like you, and I believe you will find inspiration in her story. I love you lots, and you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers along with my other KZbin friends who I follow in order to show support for their difficult journeys through severe illnesses and disablilities. I look forward to seeing your videos for updates. Sometimes it's something we dont want to hear as much as you do. You had it right about the catscan and MRI. I have to do catscans cuz I have rods and screws in my back anyway. You should be out by now hopefully, these things are never on time. I pray everything comes out normal and no cancer in the brain. Maybe the pain med will help the headaches and you won't have to do chemo 😁 and if you do its ok if your hair falls out. You have it short now and have a cap on so you will look just fine. I'm sure the Mrs is going nuts too. We never want to hear that things could get worse, i will keep her in my prayers also. But on the good side. I'm glad your going to be getting help in other ways. Thank god you have people that are there to help you with things. Cuz it's all a blessing. I pray the MRI comes out normal and you will be gone with the headaches 😁 keep your head up. You have not been treating your cancer with chemo or radiation. It’s only my opinion but why start now even if the cancer has spread to your brain . Why not just let them treat you for pain anyway they can and live the rest of your life without more unwanted sickness from treatments. Radiation may shrink it but ultimately it’ll come back bigger, stronger and more painful than before. Either way . I wish and want nothing more than for you to be happy in your care and do what only you feel is right for you and not what others think you need or should do .
