So after covering over 25,000 miles in my MG4 XPOWER, I thought, what a great milestone to put together a review on my experience... Hope you enjoy 😊 and if you do, a subscribe would be very much appreciated!

Have just ticked over 12k miles in a year in my X-Power and it's about to go back. I have had the vibration all the time I've had it, new rear tyres at 11.5k, needed a new steering rack at 5k. I think the centre screen/infotainment is the worst I have ever had in a car. So many bugs despite having all the latest software updates on it. It has really spoilt the car for me because it's so laggy, won't let you change anything if you have CarPlay on the screen (without going back to the home page first), CarPlay is very flaky even when using a genuine new apple cable. Heating needs to be set to 26-27 to be at a normal comfortable temp in the car. On the positive side, it is fast and has reasonable grip. Only starting to develop cabin rattles now at 12k but that's not too bad really. Headlights are good, sound system is ok but not exceptional. The lane assist is outright dangerous on country roads so needs to be turned off every time, which used to be 4-5 screen prods to do it but is now a swipe down menu and 2 further prods so not awful. Car won't remember the 1-pedal driving setting which is a pain. Summary, car dynamically is not bad, but SERIOUSLY needs new software/infotainment, which has spoilt it for me. Generally very pleased to be handing it back and moving in to a Cupra Born VZ to see what that is like.

@@CampervanTime ah that’s a shame you’ve not had the best experience, I haven’t had any software updates yet and I do turn off lane assist and set trying collision to warning only but I have gotten used to that, I can see why someone might find that annoying though! The Cupra Born VZ looks a great car though, hope you enjoy it!

Out of curiosity have you had any squeaky brakes ? I find mine to at very low speed or when about to come to a stop . I have read the forums where they suggest braking hard to “clean” the brakes of any residue etc but wondered if there was another, more long term suggestion . Not a deal breaker as the car itself is fantastic . One happy XPOWER owner

@@adamrainey5933 great to hear it! They sometimes squeak in reverse I’ve noticed, not always though so I’ve not tried to get rid of the squeak as such..

Price new is £36k but there are a lot of discounts, second hand prices for low mileage examples are around £23k currently

As the current driver of an SE standard range on salary sacrifice I’m really interested in getting one of these next. Could you please tell me what sort of miles/kwh you get?

I own the Camden grey X power , average 2.5 miles per KW . Summer range is circa 250 miles , winter is around 180. I drive it in sport mode everywhere . Hope this helps

@@GarethLewis-f5x think my average is around 2.9 year round at a guess as it resets quite frequently. Managed 230 miles in summer with a little spare, 180 odd in winter but of course depends how you drive it, could probably eek out 200 in winter doing 60odd mph..

@ Thanks. That’s plenty on a longer journey with the faster charging times 👍

@@GarethLewis-f5x yeh it is, I’ve done plenty of long trips, by the time you need to charge you’re wanting to stop and by the time you’ve gone in the services and eaten a snack/checked emails it’s done!
