Believe it or not, at 27 seconds THIS is the second fastest bonus round in the history of the Pyramid shows. The record time of 26 seconds was also set in the 1970’s by Billy Crystal - a record which still stands to this day.

I know it's highly unlikely to happen, but I really hope Buzzr will acquire the 80s versions of "Pyramid" and even the short lived version hosted by John Davidson in 1991. I say this purely because, as far as I know anyway, Buzzr is very good about not speeding up the episodes, crunching/cutting the end credits etc.

This was the week the Sony ECM-53FP microphones (seen on Card Sharks, $ale of the Century, Scrabble, et al.) were in place; they replaced the AKG C451E's (w/the VR-1 extension and windscreen; those mics were also used on the 1986 Hollywood Squares and the current version of Jeopardy!).
