@@SoulKingsssUm.. actually heavies does do more damage, but you really have to charge them up for the extra damage value. Once you see the blue light and little sound effect after charging up an heavy, that is the time required for the damage buff heavy attack. It deal about 1.5x extra damage so its not much but its still something. Also, armors matter more in this game the any other souls game. l promise you, that wearing better armor on you will make a differences. So don't be too scared of going over the weight limit as there is at least 3 different weight classes what only change your dodging and rolling speed. But what l have found out, even the heaviest weight class, is not as bad l first thought. It just takes time to get use to but it still pretty available way to play too.

You can soulflay the mendacious Visage enemies (those big walking stone faces you encounter in Umbral) to force their face to open, enabling you to deal increased damage from every angle. Also: Soulflaying while the face is already open breaks their posture immediately, so you can follow up with a grievious strike.

About the Pilgrim`s Perch Bellroom farm: Just run past him and fall from the next plataform, he`ll follow you to his death and you`ll spwan baack there again, killing the other mob with the death push. SO much faster, saafer and can be done at literally any level.

If you wait for the red reaper to come out on that same platform with that guy you can actually hop over to the other side get on the cross beams get close to that platform and the red reaper will fall off and you'll get point. Like 7k. Once he's on the field you actually get three times the amount of points for everything you kill so I just hang out until he comes back and drop him again

Wrong about the minic actually… You WANT TO LOOK AT IT! Face the item, and do your soulflay towards the item (umbral world or not), you will rip the minic out, one shotting it. Which means after you kill it, you’re able to take that item. Which they actually drop the most advanced “lucky” boost item to boost your item discovery to 3! Where a lucky paw will only get you to item discovery 2! Extremely valuable item to hold onto and I highly recommend to not use it until you know for a fact you’ll want to use it for whatever purpose suits your needs at that time. As you cannot purchase these and they are EXTREMELY LIMITED!! So use it wisely!!

So for the red ghosts if you're wanting to farm them, find a gap you have to jump across, wait for the ghost to appear, jump across the gap making sure the ghost stays on the side you were originally on then pull the ghost into the gap using soulflay and It'll fall to its death for easy 7k ish vigor, You can also now just kill random enemies with the 3x xp until the ghost respawns then rince and repeat.

The biggest thing for me is there is a visual indicator by your vigor when you have enough for a level up and you can run back to the vestige level up without resting so you don’t lose your progress no obviously there are still some areas where you drop down and you can’t get back until you find the shortcut or whatever so they still have some risk reward management that you have to do with some areas I was very grateful to just run back grab my level up and continue on without Worrying about losing all my experience

Fr. They even say spoiler free, and talk around stuff sometimes but still end up saying stuff. They ruined the ending for me already. Actually cowboy did. I'm a fan, used his 81 episode elden ring walkthrough multiple times, once from beginning to end. He spoiled along the way but it's to be expected in a walkthrough sometimes. But this was in a video with other creators and a dev, he gave away stuff about questlines and ending stuff. He did it to me with lies of p too in a video that was about preparing for it. Idk if some creators don't realize they are giving stuff away or if they are itching to say things, I don't get why. Sometimes it's understandable, if you are looking up a guide or something. But if I look up a build or stat explaination to decide what class I want, I shouldn't find out about questlines and endings. Especially if it's labeled spoiler free

As far as farming vigor goes just about anywhere in the umbral with all the spawning enemies and exp multiplier is pretty great for gaining tons of vigor quickly.

@@SoulKingsss The longer you stay in the umbral just killing the umbral minions the better your exp rate gets up to 3.0 when the Red Reaper comes out. You can farm around 4-5k souls just out side the Angel Boss door with the red skel. Considering the cost per level even in the 70s is only like 7-8k you can just farm anywhere that has a good chunk of umbral eggs and make bank, not to mention if you find a good spot near by a seed spot to run from the reaper if you can't fight him yet.

Great video. Best tip i can give is right before boss battles enter umbral. Wait till your vigor modifier is x3. Then enter the fight. It makes the bosses harder but after you get over 100k+ vigor, it is worth it.

That one dude that you farm for 500 vigor can be made to run off the ledge outside if you run towards the edge and dodge to the left at the last second. Every now and then he doesn’t run quite all the way and you have to soul flay him. Then you attack the magic tosser right where you dodge towards cuz he’s too slow to react and suck up vigor and reset.

You can actually glitch the grim reaper afk vigor farm at the bell room. Go past spike head turn right and go to floating thing while in Umbril, pull yourself to the middle with your lamp and afk farm till your heart contents, Thank me later 😉

another tip in the starting area of the game where first meet the cloaked creature in starting zone where there are pots where for zombie things spawn if stay just under that area and wait for the 3x xp red Reaper will spawn but if you run up fast enough Reaper will get stuck under and you can farm all day long i farmed to 200k on my 2nd character you should not go down or clost to him other wise he might teleport to you i might make a video

I've soloed the red reapers in the depths near the elevator just above the lamp visage. All you need is sanctify and mana regen. This also works well against bosses. And fighting against poisons, burns, and hordes of enemies Also the best place to farm for me is in lower calrath where you can farm the big axe guy and the big face guy (in umbral), you get about 1k vigor per run especially with moth ring. But the real treat here are the item drops from the big face guy, I maxed out vestige seeds and moths plus other very useful items here. A lot of runes and large derilium ores as well

I killed the red reaper 3 times, and the perfect place to kill him its when you fight the first boss, after the tutorial. After you kill him you'll get 1 Eye, and you can put in your lantern and this Eye makes the Umbral weak enemis fears you, and gives an Aura that glows in your head in purple colors, its pretty beautiful.

Oh, talking about tips. If you don’t use power stance, you can upgrade a light shield to +1 to open a usable slot, I use two handed weapons and use a shield in my back just to use the bonus rune, in my case a I use a stamina boost, to refill slightly more faster than use just the ring.

One extra tip. get an enemy low, soulflay them and hit their soul until their remaining health is withered, then use the finisher. When all remaining health is withered, you use a special finisher that grants a rune. So on Spiky head, not only you can farm him for 500 vigor, you can also farm his runes for extra vigor. There are a couple other spots where you can drop a soul seed and farm an enemy, like a Ruiner near lower Calrath, the Infernal Enchantress at Upper Calrath, a Holy Bulwark at the Leprosarium, and so on.

Belldoor farming is even better than you know. You destroy the parasite then run back to the edge of the elevator. When he comes running at you, move right before and he will run off the edge. If he stops at the edge just hit him with a charge attack and he will go over. This helps early when you're weak and he's strong.

I abused my throwables so often in this game. My favorite throwables were the forsaken grenades, the healing javelin's, and the sledge hammers. I used a strength build and killed mobs so eaisly with the forsaken grenades. Posion was so op on this game no idea why, plus they all have broken agro things so u can just throw the forsaken grenades at everything even bosses from afar without even triggering them. Made the game infinitely eaisier. The healing javelins were great to always heal me without using the sangrinax, and the sledge hammers do so much posture damage you can get crits very eaisily. Soooo useful.

I forget the name of the game, but years ago people complained that a game was too confusing and needed a full tutorial. So they added one. It's a quest for the blacksmith. Requires you to pick 3 tablets. Once you turn in the first, runes become a thing. The final tablet you need to chose who to give it to. if you give to the blacksmith, she gives you a special rune. If you give to her prisoner, he teaches you how to upgrade your stuff at vestiges by yourself, but the blacksmith doubles her prices.

There's a better spot at the boss pit near the lookout vestige when you go into umbral. You can easily kill the red spectre via a simple exploit (I won't tell how, but know that it's easy). At early levels this spectre drops anywhere from 10-15k vigor per kill. On top of that, you get a 3x multiplier on vigor for all the other umbral ads that spawn. Also the red spectre drops 5 umbral points for remembrances. This spot does require 1 vestige seed to farm, but is totally worth it, as the moth umbral enemies can drop vestige seeds :) ! At later levels, you can probably get 50k vigor every 30-ish minutes (this is because the red spectre stops dropping as many souls the higher of a level you get). This trick/exploit will probably be patched though, as I think it's just this one vestige spot where the trick/exploit exists xD.

The Wombs Of Despair (or as I like to call them Mothmen) will drop seeds (not guaranteed but often enough for me to never run out for the most part) if you don't want to buy them and some enemies will fall off ladders red boy being one though more often then not he gets stuck on it to which he will most likely take fall damage if big enough (personal recomendation use ladders near where you rescue the blacksmith).

Hey so at 5:00, the farm, you can also just run off the edge of the cliff and he will chase you off the edge, you come back umbral up top and the umbral burst will knock the magicboi off the edge too, and just run back to the vestige. No fighting needed

its funny you mentioned that farming spot, I am facing the Hushed Knight and have not been able to best him so I wanted to upgrade my weapons to see what would work best in that fight in particular with my build. Damage numbers is only affected by resistences vs damage type. Not affected by your actual damage output. Crimson reaper only drops that much vigor the very first time you kill it, after that it drops about 3100x3 vigor.(still good though)

it takes like 6-8 parries or more to get an opening for a critical attack, you CAN parry it just kicks you in the nuts and makes the fight take 30min. OR you can just dps race dual wielding/two handing and be done in like 5min

Not much of a tip rather than a build/gameplay: there's a umbral eye that when in primary socket, will make you take damage as wither when doing charged attacks. So if you time it right, you charge a heavy attack, get hit and regain your withered health instantly when connecting the attack. This is an awesome survivability gameplay and can fit numerous builds and weapons. And the bigger the weapon, the better, bc the wither window is wider and you hit harder so regain more health (health regained is proportionate to the damage dealt)

Fun fact along with the status effects: stacking poison and bleed, or ignite and burn are the most efficient for damage. For some reason, the poison damage will tick as physical and trigger the bleed damage to cause extra. Same with the burn triggering the ignite secondary effect.

hell yeah, which is why blleed increases phys dmg and ignite will increase fire dmg. for a very short time. and thats why they made those rings to synergize with both combos Naice dude

Congratulations: you now can proc 5 of the 6 status effects. Now nobody wants to PvP and bosses just die

I've noticed the memory leak / framerate drop over time on PS5 too. It took a long time, but I'm playing on Performance mode which is a nice even 60 basically all the time. I had the game open for probably 2 days (including the PS5 being in sleep mode, but the game was still technically open and suspended), and the frame rate dropped down to like 40. I backed out, closed the game, and reopened and it was back to normal.

If you are farming a certain enemy for their loot, get their health down low, then soulflay, hit their soul until their posture breaks, then perform the grievous strike, it's used with the lantern this way and also guarantees an item drop. At least for me, I've done it like 30 times now and always get an item

Here's a Vigor farming tip/cheese (depends how you look at it): If you have a friend that is playing this game you can get them to beckon you to their world every time they're going to fight a boss, that way you can get the boss Vigor x2 since you're killing the boss in their game and the same one in yours. You can also help out randoms, but the lag is crazy in this game on its own so if that person has poor internet connection you will struggle.

I know about soulFlayings enemies off cliffs, but I never once considered using it to bring an enemy off a perch to me. The other day I spent 5 minutes trying to get to a ranger enemy only to end up using all my ammo on him

About the fisrt vigor farm, you can hit him, wait by the elevator because he will do a charge attack and just evade out of the way so he fall to his death. dont need do fight him at all.

Just saying you can run past the guy and stand near the edge( I recommend pushing the guy right outside off so he doesn't interfere) and he will charge towards you and you can walk out of the way right before he gets there and he goes right off easy
