One book I recommend everyone to read in 2025 is Your Life Your Game by Keezano… It beautifully shows how living a life rooted in Christianity and building meaningful relationships can lead to growth and success in both your personal and professional life. This book truly changed my life-a must-read. God bless✝️💟

Great list! The Nightingale is a perfect place to start with Kristin Hannah! Pride and Prejudice is a favorite of mine 😍 I would like to read Wuthering Heights, The Will of the Many, and Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez’s new books this year too! Also would love to try out Blake Crouch and Stephen King this year 😊

Tolkien’s prose is excellent. Especially his descriptions, which are the best I’ve ever read by any author. That’s one of the reasons he is known for having the best world-building, out there. That, and how rich his world’s lore is. Allow yourself to get fully immersed when reading it. This book really has that ability to pull you in.

Take your time with Tolkien, do not feel the need to rush the book. It is very descriptive. I met my husband playing a game based on Middle Earth, been married a bit over 21 years now. I think it is easier for me to make a list monthly. All i know is I want to read Jane Eyre, Little Women and finish War & Peace by reading at least one chapter a day. I really am loving the parts where society is the focus. I trudge through the war parts, and well my husband it was the reverse. Guys will be guys? The Ministry of Time is on a lot of favorites list, just saw it on a former presidents list of favorite books of 2024.

I also can’t handle reading very sexual scenes personally either! 🫶🏻 Really excited for a Throne of Glass reading vlog, as I’m late to the train too! I started the series but never finished and need to reread / finish reading the whole series sometime soon! 🙂💖 I currently am in the second book of Brandon Sandersons Skyward series, and normally I don’t pick up sci-fi, only mostly fantasy, some classics, or more contemporary type romance books, but this has me wanting to dive into more sci-fi. Skyward is one of my favorite books of all time! I highly recommend the series! 🙂🤍🫶🏻

I also hope to continue the Throne of Glass series! I am currently on Queen of Shadows but I wasn't in the mood when I tried to read it in 2024 so hopefully I am in the mood sometime this year. I hope you enjoy The Cruel Prince and The Prison Healer! I am reading The Gilded Cage right now (book 2 of The Prison Healer series) and I need to read Morning Star in the Red Rising series. If you like Red Rising and Game of Thrones, I just read Fireborne by Rosaria Munda which has become my favorite book I've read so far in 2025. I hope we all have a great year of reading and reach some of our reading goals!!

I finished Throne of Glass at the end of last year, and I loved it! I haven’t read ACOTAR, but I’ve heard that it and Throne of Glass are pretty different, just so you know. I also really want to read The Lord of the Rings this year! I love the movies so much, and I’ve read and enjoyed The Hobbit, but I’ve never read Lord of the Rings. That feels like a crime. 😂

I'm also a big Donna Tartt fan. Specially her second book : "The Little Friend" is very underrated and seldom talked about !!!??? - Recommended especially for those who like Poetic, Southern, Swampy, Gothic Novels (...much better written than "Where the Crawdad Sings".) Basically it's a POV story of a little girl, who was born after her little brother was murdered. She is confused by the adults in her family and inquisitive to know more about the circumstances that caused her little brother's death. I enjoyed reading about her child like detective investigations. Would make a fascinating film with the right director. Saw the Goldfinch film...it was. a .%$%^ disgrace !!!
@bradleyjordahl311914 сағат бұрын
Agreed, the Little Friend is actually my favorite of Tartt's 3 books. In comparison, I was disappointed by the Goldfinch and can't relate to the hype everyone seems to give that book.

Yes, to Goldfinch even better than Secret History. Absolutely not for Sarah J what’s-her-face. I did try that first book and the first chapter is good… after that the whole thing is anticipation of sex. And if you’re not looking forward to the sex, you will not have a good time.
