Here is a truly scary list: 25 brutal serial killer families! When you think "serial killer," it's likely a sociopathic and anti-social loner comes to mind. But, that's not always the case. Over the years, there's been a number of brutal serial killer families, working together toward one nefarious goal.
There's something even more terrifying about this fact. It's one thing for a single psychopath to buy into their own insanity, but quite another for several others to buy into it, too. Yet, that's exactly what happened. Whether it was a couple agreeing to do heinous acts against their fellow man or an entire family conspiring to torture, rape, and murder, these 25 brutal serial killer families were the lowest of the low. Fair warning, this list is not for the faint of heart.

For the last 20 or 25 years I've been studying serial killers (research and development--I'm a writer), so obviously I've heard about many of these. It's a credit to you that about half of them are new to me. Thank you for your research, accuracy, and respect, and straightforward delivery. Yes, the crimes are horrific, but you leave us to react in our own ways rather than asking us to empathize with your own judgments.

You could say they become family - like brothers or whatever. Often they're closer than blood family. I guess it's apt to put them on this list because most serial killers are lone wolves. If they work together like family, it's not far from the title.

Karla & Paul married and she turned evidence on him so she got a deal. I am from Hamilton and remember this case well. Hamilton, Burlington, St Catherine were paralyzed with fear after Mahaffy and French girls disappeared. Paul was the mastermind who coerced Karla into helping him. As a teen / young adult in Toronto he was the Scarborough rapist and had started his crimes before marrying Karla.

@@wendylalonde8289 True, but the videos actually showed the jury that she liked and active participated in those acts - which actually gave multiple jury members PTSD, (which Canada had to legally pay for their therapy.) I actually know this because I researched and wrote a psychological paper on Karla & Paul - at least, Paul had the excuse of childhood abuse by a bad upbringing (which is why I wrote about as the nurture side of nature vs. nurture). The fact Karla allowed her own sister to be raped and murdered just tells me that Karla was not coerced past an early in their relationship and likely enjoyed helping her boyfriend rape and murder young girls.

2 of ours had the FBI, homeland security, ATF, CIA, SWAT, special tactics, local police and the whole damn street blocked off for over 18 hours on 3 separate occasions, all in one summer. Huge amount of drugs, bodies being carried out of one house, and women coming out shaking in a blanket who were kidnapped, tied up and forced to prostitute themselves to drug customers. And were trafficking women and children. That was one way to find out who our neighbors were.

Baby farmers were a needed service in their time. They were supposed to just take in and either foster (for a recurring fee) or find families for (in exchange for a one time payment) babies born to unmarried or widowed women who needed to work. The problem was that some of them were horrible people who killed the babies instead, often by strangulation, starvation, or overdoses of narcotic medications made for colic, cough, or teething pain.

What about Scottish murderer Robert Mone and his father "Sonny". Robert walked into his old high school and shot dead a teacher. He was sent to the state mental hospital where he escaped with another patient. They killed another patient, a doctor and a policeman before they were recaptured. "Sonny", the father, jealous of his son's reputation, decided he wanted to be famous too, so he broke into a block of flats where old people lived and murdered 3 elderly women. "Sonny" himself was murdered in prison and Robert is still serving his sentence as of 2019.

I'm from Manchester England UK and I'm 50+ years old. The "Moors murders" were committed before I was born, but the trial took place in the year of my birth 1966... These murders of young children are some of the worst, and most cruel and inhumane in the last 100yrs IMO? It was a young couple who carried them out. A man Ian Brady from Scotland, who had relocated to Manchester. A woman from Manchester, who lived locally and amongst her good and decent, hard working family Myra Hindley was her name. They were initially work colleagues and they became a couple, lovers and sick and twisted, evil child torturers and murderer's... They taped their torture of their victims etc. At the trial alot of jurors broke down crying or even asked to be relieved of duty? It was understandably so traumatic to normal human beings....
