I am familiar with 17 of these celebrities. There are three others whom I’ve merely heard of. The rest IDK. They say, “Looks fade.” They say, “Beauty fades.” Smoking 🚬 just makes all this happen more quickly.

Great observation! It's true-smoking can speed up the aging process and take a toll on health. It's always surprising to see how many celebrities still stick to the habit despite all the risks.

@ Ain’t that the truth? In 1997, I found myself in a place technically termed, “an acute stabilization facility;” basically, it was a horrible place, a mental hospital where I was abused constantly in more ways than one. There were times when I looked for ANYTHING to help take the edge off; that was when and where I started smoking. I smoked one pack a day, every day, for nearly 13 years. I made many attempts to quit-but THEN, in March 2010, I found the RIGHT combination of “helps”-e.g., CHANTIX, prayer, meditation, reviewing the facts about smoking…the list goes on. And I can honestly say I have been COMPLETELY SMOKE-FREE since March 2010. No cigarettes, no cigars, no nicotine gum-NUNNA THAT! - To me-it sorta, kinda makes sense that these celebrities would keep on smoking despite the risks. Other celebrities engage in MUCH RISKIER behavior. Jimi Jameson, for example, used to be the lead singer of the band, Survivor. He suffered a stroke and died at the age of 56. Why? Prolonged intravenous drug use. John Belushi was one of the ultimate party animals. Same character he played in “Animal House,” back in 1978, but with one difference: Bluto was “into” alcohol ONLY, having rotted out his cerebral cortex AND his liver with alcohol ONLY. In private life, he really DID drink that much AND, all at the same time, did whatever drugs he could get his hands on. In 1982, he had a private party at a hotel in So-Cal, did too many speedballs, and fell asleep…without ever waking up. THAT was how John Belushi left this life. - The point is this: These celebrities make TONS of money, live in luxury-own expensive homes, expensive cars, four-figure fashion clothes and accessories…and yet, they remain SO EMPTY, SO dissatisfied with life itself-that they resort to such vices as smoking, drinking, drugs-and at LEAST one round (usually more) of “musical spouses.” - SO-O-O-O, TBH, it doesn’t surprise me that the celebrities listed here keep on smoking in spite of the many risks.

Oh Well.... we all die of something. It took a triple bypass for me to stop smoking cigarettes.... and I ended up doing without any help.... someone offered me a patch in hospital after the operation and I said that I would be fine without it.... and been that way ever since..... going on two years. There are days when I still feel the craving for a cigarette, but most of the time, I don't think about it as me being an ex smoker.... I just don't smoke anymore. It is not the lung and the heart damage.... it is the deterioration of the peripheral circulatory system people should pay close attention to. Nothing unblocks clogged / partially clogged arteries and veins... think of it like a pump.... it should operate at 100% without restriction when young.... as you age it reduces in function to 75%.... but if you smoke and have a bypass.... it is only 50%..... don't ever get fooled into thinking your body recovers after heart surgery and you stop smoking... because it does not.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Quitting smoking is a huge step, and your insight about the lasting effects on circulation is so true. It’s a reminder that even after quitting, the impact on health can remain, but every smoke-free day still matters.

It's sad they have a weak mind like all people who start. Pressured by peers and unable to refuse so they don't look like, "not one of the gang." Unfortunately they keep saying I can quit anytime. By the time they need to quit they are severely addicted. Fortunately I never started. My brother died at 43 from complications and vascular damage from it, my mom died at 60 from the same diagnosis but she had a massive stroke. What's also sad is a lot of women and men smoke before and women smoke during pregnancy. Insurance companies shouldn't insure people who smoke. Young actresses and actors think they are invincible just because they have money and are relatively healthy. Very sad because a lot of these people are role models for young men and women. Even though they may not due it in public they smoke in private and when their photographed in private or in a movie or tv show they say it's an herbal cigarette or I stopped the next day or some excuse.
