I loved the salad shakers! Too bad people can't figure out that you don't HAVE to use the whole pack of dressing. To this day, this is how I eat salads I bring to work. Loaded into a lidded cup, and shaken vigorously. Perfectly coated, and easy to clean up. Be nice if they brought shakers back. Oh, well. At least I still have mine.

OMG yes. I did that too. Can make it fresh in the morning. Add all my things but the dressing. Then lunch time put the Beatles Twist and Shout song on and shake my groove thing until coated. It was a running joke at my job years ago. I thought I was alone in the office. Nope my Boss bout died of hysterical laughter. Think I looked like Elaine from Senfield dancing. But if I am going out for day I still load a travel temp control cup with lid and take it with me. Best pick me up lunch ever.

One Taco Bell item that has been discontinued that wasn't on your list was The Double Decker Taco. It was such a great idea, and solved the problem that always happens whenever I eat Taco Bell Hard Tacos. The shell cracks along the entire bottom. Resulting in all the meat, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, etc ending up on the table or on my shirt. LoL But I recently read an article that said that Taco Bell is giving customers the chance to vote to have either the enchirito or the double decker come back on their menu. I don't remember how long it would return for, probably not long enough. Talk about cruel corporate mentality. To make us choose between the two is just not right. I loved them both. KFC's new fries commercial said "We have fries now!" YOU ALREADY HAD FRIES! ONE OF THE BETTER FRIES OPTIONS!!! My go to was getting a pot pie and wedges, and dip the wedges in the pot pie. McDonalds had a Baked apple pie shake. I was never a big shake person, but OMG I would grab those on the regular in the fall.

the items i really really miss, was McDonald's Fiesta Salad, the first taco salad i ever had, and pretty much the only kind of salad i like eating and Wendy's swiss melt burger, back in 2007, melted swiss cheese sauce on a burger, also could come with mushrooms and McDonald's chicken snack wraps, they were discontinued at the beginning of the pandemic along with McDonald's big mac wraps, like burger kings whopperito

Other long lost fast food menu items: The Taco Bell Bell Beefer. Sloppy Joe with taco sauce instead of tomato sauce. The Moby Jack. Jack-In-The-Box's version of the McDonald's Fillet O' Fish. The Jack-In-The-Box Hot Apple Turnover. I'm not sure whether or not it's still on the Jack-In-The-Box menu, but at one time you could order a hamburger served on two lettuce leaves instead of the usual bun. Also an item called "Frings". A hybrid serving of French Fries and Onion Rings. I believe they were a Burger item.

MacDonald's used to have the Angus 1/3 pounders. There was the Mushroom Swiss (AMAZING!!!), Deluxe, and a 3rd one I can't remember except that it was Cheddar something. They also at one time had MacDonald's pizzas, they weren't great, but they were good. I know some places in West Virginia still had them last time I was there, but that was over a decade ago.

There are a lot of discontinued fast food/fast casual menu items I miss (sadly, I never had the chance to try the bacon wrapped pizza from Little Caesar's; I wanted it SO bad!). There are two in particular that I especially miss which were not on this list. One of them, I can't remember what it was called, but it was a burger at Braum's that was absolutely piled with cheese (I remember the commercials saying something like, "Here at Braum's, we believe there's no such thing as too much cheese!" (my motto ever since!). But the one I miss the most is a Taco Bell item that was on their cheap menu. In 10th and 11th grade, I attended Enid High School in Enid, Oklahoma, and at the time they had an open campus, allowing students to leave the campus to get their own lunch. It just so happened that there was a Taco Bell two blocks away from the school. Most days I would walk from the high school over to Taco Bell and get three of these because they were so cheap and so good! They called it the Cheesarito (not 100% certain on the spelling; this was all the way back in the early 90s). It was exactly what it sounds like; a WHOLE BUNCH on cheese (along with some basic seasonings) wrapped up in a tortilla just like a burrito and heated to melty perfection. No meat, no beans, no rice, veggies, no other filler; just a load of delicious cheese! I want the Cheesarito back, damn it!

Having grown up in Oklahoma (lived in Sapulpa/Stillwater/Chickasha, and my grandma lived in Bartlesville) I 100% will wake up in the middle of the night sometimes, my head drenched in a cold sweat, and think “All I want is Braums.” That or some Eskimo Joe’s cheese fries and a Fowl Thing. There is no other place in the world like it. I haven’t lived there in nearly 25 years, and I haven’t been back in almost 20. But it’s a part of me that I’ll never forget- Braums, Eskimo Joe’s, Hideaway Pizza, really all things Oklahoma, especially the great people. I gotta get back soon.

@@chiefrief221 Born in Oklahoma and lived here most of my life. Moved away several times, but always end up back here (whether I want to or not). Never actually been to Eskimo Joe's (though I remember seeing the shirts all the way back to my childhood, but I love cheese fries, so that alone sounds worth the hour or so trip to Stillwater)) or Hideaway Pizza, but have loved Braum's as long as I can remember. They had them in Texas when I was down there, but when I've been much further than that (California or Washington, for example) I never saw any there. Of course, California had franchises of its own that I would love to see break into the Oklahoma market, like In 'N Out Burger or Bob's Big Boy. Of course, some of the best places aren't even part of a franchise. My senior year when I was in Tahlequah, there was a little locally owned pizza place called Pizza King there which made the best pizza I've ever had (one slice of pizza would take five minutes to eat because the cheese just went on forever, and every once in a while they would get in these fresh wild mushrooms that had this absolutely amazing earthy flavor and were so juicy it was just pure bliss, but they sadly are closed now, so even if I make it back to Tahlequah I'll never again get that pizza).

At one point Taco Bell offered 3 types of Chalupa. A Santa Fe, Baja and the supreme. Now all you can get is the supreme. And with McDonald's, they use to have the Angus burgers and the cream of broccoli soup. We really enjoyed the soup.
