Thanks for putting in the time to create this video! It was very helpful for me as a newcomer to PoE.

I type in /dnd when fighting bosses so I don't get distracted by a trade massage and die. Just don't forget to retype /dnd after.

@payingpossum yessir not a bad idea and when you eat or something you can set /afk and leave a automated message like "eating be back in 15 mins" so if anyone whispers you while your afk. Some pretty cool command prompts in poe.

@SoldierBoy3064 It's super noticable on some tile sets/maps. 90% of my deaths are from on ground after death effects so it really helps to be able to see the ground :D lol

Any idea how to move map on console/controller? I’ve been ranting to my buddy how this game needs that feature! We play on PC so no arrow keys -_-
@OmniCrossV120 сағат бұрын
Just tried a bunch of stuff on ps5 controller and couldn't find a way to do it. :( sorry, seems like one more thing to add to the list of shit they need to add on console.
@KlaudeeBoyee17 сағат бұрын
@ yea we tried too and I couldn’t find it! We’re on PS5 too (not PC) so we miss out on that in addition to the plethora of other neat features exclusive to PC (looking at you Item Filters o_O) Can’t help but feel like this game was made for PC

Standing inside the mana draining mobs circle was worth the like alone. There is still a lot of stuff I don't know. My 1st character was a Sorc Stormweaver using Spark, Firewall, and Orb of Storms. I got to level 70 and keep dying on the hideout map as I need better gear but it's hard for me to know what exactly I need or what I'm looking for. I got the archmage skill but my mana drains so fast it's literally unusable because it's gone by the time i kill 1 pack of mobs. So I started using frost armor with clarity which helps but I need more damage. I ended up making a second character, a Ranger that turns out to be just like yours judging by your skill gems. I'm only around level 30 so far but I feel I'm having the same issue. It's hard for me to know exactly what gear I need and what gear is good for me. Someone offered me an Ex orb for all the plain rings and amulets I had been saving since I started and not knowing the value I traded them and then come to find out all the Stellar Amulets I traded them were worth like 10 Ex orbs each and then the Gold and Saph rings were worth more as well. Kind of sucks to feel so taken advantage of. More so when I really could have used the Ex orbs to buy new gear. The video was really helpful in a lot of ways, so I appreciate you making it. I downloaded Sidekick to use and hopefully it will help out.

@carlosgirardot7566 Never a fun time to realize you got taken advantage of. :( The majority of my content (trading guide and price checking guide here on KZbin) is revolved around informing the newer players so this is less likely to happen. There are so many toxic assholes willing to pray on the ignorant in this game... I think you will have a fun time with the ranger. If you are having crazy mana sustain issues try using the support gems called "inspiration" and get more flat mana on your gear. That will fix your issues.
@carlosgirardot7566Күн бұрын
@@OmniCrossV1 Yeah, the toxicity is wild in this game, but I also played Rust and I'm not sure ANY game compares to that one when it comes to the toxic behavior of the player base. I'll look into the Inspiration gem as you suggested. I think my biggest issue is gear. I've been saving some Ex Orbs but I'm worried to use them because I'm not sure exactly what gear is best, if what I'm looking at is priced right, etc. I really need to find someone eventually who can help me choose gear to buy I think and so I can learn in the process. And the good thing is, while there ARE many toxic people in the game, there are helpful people like yourself who have been willing to help out and teach things to me and help with certain things. So, it's been a fun experience so far, I just need to get better gear so I can continue to play this mapping portion of the game as dying and losing my XP was rough. I went all the way down to level 70 with 0 XP towards the next level, haha! I'll subscribe to you as well!

@@carlosgirardot7566 It's crazy what we can find ourselves getting used to lol. Get max resists (75%) On fire light and cold TRY to get some chaos but its expensive and hard to fit in often times. Stacking multiple defensive layers is really important but if you are an evasion based build try to get as close to 75% dodge chance as possible this will help a ton with survivability. Right now in poe 2 life based builds just simply struggle. They removed life nodes from the passive tree and unless you have decently high life modifiers on all your gear you will be struggling to get past 2k life. Get as much life and res and evasion on your ranger as possible and you will feel much better. It's worth mentioning as well that GOOD damage is also huge for defense. If everything is dead or frozen around you then less potential to die. :D "The best defense is a good offence"

item rarity has diminishing returns after 100....at 100, you have 10% greater chance to find currency, at 700 rarity, you have 20% greater chance....its not worth sacrificing damage or survivability to stack it past 100
@OmniCrossV12 күн бұрын
@sethrockwood good info. Is this data mined numbers and values or just feelings and speculation? My 180 feels ridiculous vs just 80 to 100. I had around 80 for a week or so and then when I made the swap to 150+ it genuinely felt like it doubled. I personally would say 150 is the sweet spot you should aim for if able to without too much damage or survivability sacrifice. Just wondering where you are getting these values from.
@sethrockwoodКүн бұрын
@ I’ve personally been running around 140 simply cause that’s what I have on viable gear…..the numbers are coming from a group of players that tested doing 1200 runs, white maps, no tower modds. Which means it’s not exact science but 1200 is a sample size large enough to draw conclusions to be sure…..the result is basically that above 100, you hit diminishing returns. It doesn’t mean that their is zero value above 100, but the next 600 points are getting your the same benefit as the first 100. It is also worth mentioning that they wer testing currency drops specifically, so it is possible that other drops are effected in a different way but it’s unlikely that the difference is significant. Side note here….your tower tablets, your gear, and your map, along with the location of the map(biome), all have a significant effect on your drops. If you combine precursor tablets with high item quantity, with 100+ magic find on gear, and then a map with 70 or above rarity, along with increased rares, and then run that map on a node buffed by multiple towers where you have corrupted, irradiated, and a breach…..and, your map is 30+ delirious mod….that’s when you really start to see the effects. In other words, it’s the stacking of multiple buffs that really starts to make the item rarity shine.

great video. For what its worth, you dont need to control click a vendor to identify all items. just click vendor then ID and it will ID everything. Normal left click.
@OmniCrossV12 күн бұрын
yeah ctr click just kind of saves you a click is all but ctr click on other vendors is still quite nice to skip the dialog box and just go straight to their special function. :D
