Appreciate the video. I’m having some difficulty getting the shim right and your breakdown really helps.

Thank you SO MUCH for this- I'm working in an area where the majority of apartment complexes are stocked with these little smartkey lock pains... very interesting technique, thanks so much and I look forward to mastering this lock series!!!

You a locksmith? If so, what’s your go-to approach with these suckers?

Not an easy lock to pick...that's all I really need with so many other ways to get into my house. Thanks, great video.

Thanks for the vid.I just picked up my 1st Smartkey ta try an pick. Thing has whooped me thus far. But wasn't sure if it was gen 1,2 or 3. Now that I seen the difference I know I have a 1 or 2. That will help in my approach. Keep them coming bud an have a safe 4th...

#3 KwikSet master pin blocks that hole with ball bearing in Gen 3.

Does this technique work on gen 1 and 2 as well?

Kwikset smart key locks have plastic in them. I notice that the Kwikset smart key lock in your video has plastic. I've seen and heard that Kwikset smart key locks can be forced open. I wouldn't recommend Kwikset smart key locks.

Can this be done while using a Lishy?
@EZ-PickinsАй бұрын
No. Not currently. The KW Lishi picks will not fit into the KW keyholes w/ SK technology...at least not the GEN3's...

Seems like a flathead screwdriver would be a bit faster since the pins in that stupid lock are all plastic......

Ridiculous. As a locksmith these things are a nuisance and will cost customers more for a lockout. Because I’m not going to pick this pos. I’m going to drill it off the door and charge them for a new lock.

Or you just buy the decoder and cut the key
@pouncerminned8633 жыл бұрын
I never ever drill
@tartgreenapple Жыл бұрын
You can decode with a Lishi KW1 and cut a key. Search for "kilo" locksmith video.

@@tartgreenappleThat's only for the Gen 1 and 2, not 3 or above
@EZ-PickinsАй бұрын
@@n0ame1u1exactly. The KW GEN3 w/ SK tech keyhole is not compatible with the KW Lishis...at least not for now. Maybe they'll come out with one someday... But probably not since the sidebar shim technique is usually the way to attack these

It's unfortunate that you're learning disabled. We're all very sorry to hear it. You keep trying and do your best to refrain from licking windows and lay off of eating crayons little buddy.
