I would like to add, try to buy locally AND seasonally! It saves you money, and saves energy from your produce traveling from other countries vs in your town and because growing food out of season requires a lot more energy. I have a list I printed out of florida’s natural grown produce and their seasons and I just keep it on my fridge so I know what to look for. I haven’t started going to the farmer’s market yet, but it supports local farmers and businesses while probably being cheaper than going to the grocery store.

Many stores have them out front, Whole Foods and some other stores have them inside.

The ingredients, unfortunately aren't super fantastic, but they are definitely better than some that I've seen. It's a good starting place. And again, the Ulta near me sells them so I don't have to deal with shipping waste. The bar is a little bit pricier than what I would really like, but it's supposed to last for the life of 3 bottles of conditioner so hopefully the price will even out. :) Here's the link for that one: www.ulta.com/bar-none-hydrating-conditioner-bar?productId=xlsImpprod18611003

Top recommendation from people about this brand, vegan-friendly; ethiqueworld.com/collections/hair Another highly recommended vegan-friendly one is; solibar.co/ Both these are completely natural and have no SLS (which dry out and damage your hair) and should be available online in the U.S. but you can probably find local businesses in the U.S if you don't like the impact shipping can have. I’m in favour of reusing scraps of paper but I find that my life is approaching paper free. I rarely even get mail because so many things - including bills and banking - are electronic by default. Now they actually enjoy eating vegan food, but I think they are far from being environmentally friendly haha. So, just try your best to live in a sustainable way and maybe they will get that you're serious about it and if you do lots of research and inform them of new better ways to live and what negative effects their current lifestyle has on the environment, they might put a thought to it. Just don't force them, or it will have the opposite effect x.x Sorry for this long comment xD I'm in a writing mood today lol

@Ana Veronika From a former cashier perpective, putting a whole bunch of different stuff in the same bag is annoying and time consuming for the cashier (and probably the customers in line behind them). Each fruit or veggie has to be weighed seperately. Even if you have two types of apples with different numbers on them or if two things you put in the same bag are the same price. I've seen customers put a whole bunch of stuff in the same bag and then I have no other choice but to tear the whole bag open (and therefore I still have to use another bag or more bags) because it all can't be weighed at the same time. Honestly with customers handling it (whose hands have been only God knows where), the cashier handling it (who have also been handling money and other things that are gross like raw meat packages, gross/unclean reusable bags, dusty stuff), baggers handling it, it rolling on a not so clean conveyor belt, putting it in a bag is a good idea to reduce your germ exposure. There are reuseable produce bags which are better for the environment though.

I saw another video where someone criticized the video that doing 'a little' wasn't good enough. The public library for books is great, only downside can be that you might have to return a book before finishing it if someone is queued for it. And of course, all the books you want to read might not be available there. Any classics though can likely be found there.

The library is a good source for books. Some will ever order books requested by the public if they don't have that book yet. @maghouinbeg50115 жыл бұрын
I'm puzzled by your comment. Where are you getting your data - 'most people don't use (their Kindle/ebook) much'? This idea is totally contrary to my experience.Whilst I was working outside of the home, I used my Kindle about 2.5 hours a day. Now there's no commute, it's down to 1.5 hours, but that's each and every day. Most people I know who use Kindles/ebooks now use their machine far more than they used paper books when paper books were the only option. I guess what I'm saying is the way one person uses an item can be vastly different than another.

@@brittanysavoie7608, if you love books, that's great. Use books. My problem with public libraries is I have not been able to get the books I want since I was about 12-14. My tastes in reading don't seem to correspond with the rest of the library users, and naturally (and rightly) they try to meet the needs of most of their patrons. For the home made toothpaste you can add in peppermint or spearmint essential oil and a small pinch of charcoal. I have found it adds to the overall toothpaste, keeps my breathe fresh and my teeth white. If you whip the coconut oil with a fork, before putting the ingredients in it comes out in the perfect soft but solid consistency. You would just need to keep it stored generally in room temperature. Great video, my husband Richard and I, own Simple By Lacey. We use reclaimed wood to create one of a kind art. We make rustic and minimalistic home decor, wedding decor, furniture, pet furniture, and tiny homes. We support and appreciate anybody striving to help the Earth and become more plastic free. For every product sold we also have a tree planted. We started our plastic free journey 8 years ago by slowly saving up our food jars and we stopped drinking out of plastic. This year we have started our compost and have a herb garden. We converted our deodorant, toothpaste, face and body scrub, and beard/hair oil to homemade products that we store in glass and top with a cork. It has been an amazing journey towards a sustainable life and zero waste living. Thank you for inspiring others to take their own journey and heal the world ✌🏻💕🌲

Brambleberry sells shampoo base in gallon jugs for really cheap. It’s plain and unscented, so you can add some essential oil and make it smell however you want. They also sell unscented lotion base. Amazon has disposable bamboo and wood flatware. That stuff is also great for camping, as you can just toss it into the fire after dinner instead of washing up. You can also get disposable plates, bowls, and cups that can go into the fire. Zero waste glamping! I make my own veggie broth from ends and pieces, too. I freeze it in ice cube trays and keep in freezer to use as needed. The ends go into compost pile after being cooked. Also freeze nut milk to keep fresh. Fruit juice, frozen into cubes, can enhance iced tea or water. Chop mint and lime, mix into water and freeze for dropping into water. Jojoba oil makes great makeup remover and facial moisturizer. I made a bunch of crochet rounds for reusable makeup remover wipes. I use soap nuts for laundry. They can also be made into shampoo and body wash.
