I'm an intermediate English learner from indigenous country. Thank you for your educational/useful video. Would you mind if I ask you a question? timing = 4:25. In an instant, a vortex of energy engulfed Freddy, revealing the echoes of ages past. in this sentence, how would work the word 'past' as part of speech/structure.(e.g 'age' modifying adj. adverb. complement)

I'm an intermediate English learner from indigenous country. Thank you for your educational/useful video. Would you mind if I ask you a question? timing = 12:02. 'Tempting as the offer was, Freddy felt the pull of his pond tugging at his heartstrings.' In this sentence, would the phrase at the head of it be inversion sentence of 'the offer was tempting as,'?

I'm an intermediate English learner from indigenous country. Thank you for your educational/useful video. Would you mind if I ask you a question? timing = 0:35,0:37,16:28. it's a very ribbeting tale. in this sentence the word 'ribbeting', I can't find it in our dictionary. Would it be possible to substitute the word 'riveting'?
@britisheducation
@britisheducation Жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes it’s a little joke because frogs make the noise ‘ribbet’, and it is of course a ‘riveting’ story.

@@britisheducation 様. Thank you for your quick reply. Your commenting would boost/enhance my motivation for learning English (in addition, authentic/British English you'd provide generously I feel comfortable.) It would be appropriate/effective for me that your teaching would be somewhat, a little hard/difficult, as saying"Good medicine tastes bitter". I appreciate your teaching. Perhaps Freddy is wondering where he'd wandered and pondering what to do next, jumping on the mud and sand in the pond.
