as a Canadian myself, i've travelled the HoT many times. those who know the stories will tell you that that stretch of road has an eerie heaviness to it kind of like how the Fields of Verdun do in France (famous for being one of the most brutal and THE longest battle of WW1). once you leave that 450 mile stretch, that heaviness leaves and you don't feel that "sad" feeling anymore. but while you're along it, it's almost like you can see the ghosts of the poor victims sometimes.

there has to be some sort of cover up or something
@anime4life209 Жыл бұрын
@@paramountains693 (sorry this is gonna be a goddamn novel...probably easier to just make a vid honestly....but anyway) not really. it's just become so ingrained due to how much crime has gone on, primarily disappearances and murders that if you know the myths it just gives you a heavieness because it enhances that understanding due to you actually now BEING in that place of darkness and sadness. but it's not just hearing stories about it. it's simply now a part of that stretch of highway as though it were simply another telephone pole or tree on the side of the road. if your you're just driving through then it isn't really all that bad because you're moving so quickly that you don't really have the time to "appreciate" the surroundings, you just understand that you ARE in that infamous place, and just get a bit of a heaviness or slight depressed feeling. if you're just walking through or just slowly driving casually through with no particular destination/sight seeing then it would be a lot more intense. but once you leave that 719-kilometre (447 mi) stretch it immediately fades a few minutes, sometimes not even afterwards. but if you choose to walk through it...i wish you my whole hearted luck and the safest of travels because that, at an avg. persons walking pace (if they ONLY walked), would amount to 6 days and 15 minutes. you likely don't want to do that do you. so what do you do to avoid that? you hitch hike. and that is where the legend begins. many of the victims are either hitchhikers, kidnap victims, murder victims, or a combination of all three in some way, shape or form. so what do you do? simple. you don't hitch hike and you just tough it out, rest when needed and use all that survival training you learned when you were 6 years old....except that doesn't stop someone, which is likely to happen within 6 days, from driving by and kidnapping you and that would be the last you're ever seen; to which it DOES have. kk, i'll stop there. if you like i CAN make a vid to go more in depth cause, honestly, what i just told you is just the gist of it.

Regarding the West Mesa Killings, Montoya didn't die in prison, He was shot and killed in 2006 by the pimp/boyfriend of a woman he choked to death, after walking out of his home to transport and dump her body. The boyfriend was parked nearby while she was murdered in his home. Montoya did not know he was outside, and was in the process of moving her body when he was confronted and shot.

They forgot the Atlanta child murderer, it is believed and proven that Wayne possibly couldn’t have murdered the children just the two adult men.
@thrill_lords840910 ай бұрын
i watched a lot documentaries on that. from what i got from them. the organs from the kids where missing. i do believe there was more than jus one serial killer in Atlanta in that time.
@Sir.WillyWally4 ай бұрын
It's not proven that he didn't kill them. Wayne is suspected of killing many of them, but investigators do not believe he killed all of them. Regardless, they have never definitively tied Wanye to other murders besides the two men, but that does not mean he was not one of the killers. The main theory is that Wayne was the primary killer, and his actions inadvertently inspired copycat killers: some of whom were most likely white supremacists who were active at the time.
Psychology wise though, if the killer is targeting only the victim, then the rest of the person's guiding movements are turned to represent the person as being friendly, even in the look of going out of the door. Thus more permanent character sought for.

Yes, this is chilling. Conversely, is it a good approach to assume a common killer in a case like the Chicago Strangler, or should the cases continue to be investigated as discreet crimes, reserving judgment until evidence accumulates and makes it overwhelmingly probable that one person is responsible for most of the killings?
@ZarpSterr Жыл бұрын

I do like when you cite books and podcasts and such that document the case in detail. I like the images that relate specifically to each case, but I’m less enthusiastic about those that just establish tone, like scenes from unrelated movies. I’d like to see the sites where bodies were found plotted on a map for every killing.
