Pick #23: There was a movie made about the 21 scandal called " Quiz Show ", Ralph Fiennes the star, that's a pretty good dramatic telling of the story

The best story out of the 1950 American TV scandals was that Joyce Brothers, a psychologist, went on the $64,000 Question as an expert in boxing. She won, much to everyone else's surprise. So of course she was suspected of having been cheating, but was cleared when it turned out that her expertise on boxing was well earned and that she actually knew more than she said on the show. This started a great career for her in the public eye right up until the day she died.

I don’t care when anyone says the kid on Jeopardy straight up got robbed. He clearly knew the answer which is kind of the whole point of the game, which is to know the right answer but they wouldn’t give it to him because of a slight spelling error… which is complete bullshit.
@ChromeCobra6 сағат бұрын
yeah, but it is an error, period. Answers have been wrong before for pronunication, so this isn't out of the ordinary. Chill out.
@nancyomalley62865 сағат бұрын
The kid had the same name as my nephew, Tommy
@DXKramerСағат бұрын
While you are correct, Jeopardy has stated that misspellings are ok, as long as the word would be PRONOUNCED the same. He could have written "Emancipayshun," and it would have been deemed correct, as the pronunciation would have been the same.

John Cooper on British darts/quiz show Bull's-eye and Rodney Alcala on The Dating Game both were in the video . There were probably more but none of them were in this video mostly a bunch of cheaters or the studios cheating the contestants .

Better - at least for night - a tall glass, a decent shot of Scotch whisky, a heaped teaspoon of runny honey, topped off with water that's come off the boil and cooled just enough to sip. It's soothing and you'll sleep like a baby!
@Tom.Club18715 сағат бұрын
As horrible as this sounds, and I've not tried it so not sure if it actually works, but chop up raw onion and put it in a jar with honey. Leave it for a while and as and when, sip the onion water. Sounds absolutely minging but I heard it works 😂. Alternatively, whisky kills of germs if you like whisky.

Deal or No Deal UK featured 2 controversial editions 1 where a box contained no prize not even 1 penny and another where a contestant dropped his box which burst open revealing £20,000 of a possible £250,000 . Even Noel Edmonds , the shows presenter , was visibly angry when the £20,000 box was dropped .

Why was the Price is Right thing such a big deal? A handful of people have correctly guessed the exact price of the showcase over the years. When you do, you win both showcases! Why were the producers scrambling to make sure no one else can do it, and investigating if he cheated? That’s really weird! He wasn’t the first one to do that! Also, I hope you get better, Mike. We’re sick here too.
@DXKramer46 минут бұрын
1) It was the first time in the show's history that the showcase big was perfect. 2) You win both showcases if you're within $250 (originally $100) of the price of the showcase without going over. 3) Cheating was suspected for a number of reasons. First, prizes were used and overused so much that people were able to memorize the prices of them. Second, one such person, Ted, was in the audience that day, and he was given a death glare by then-producer Kathy Greco when the perfect bid happened. Most importantly, longtime staffer Roger Dobkowitz was let go only months before, so it was suspected that people from a certain fansite had infiltrated the show and were sabotaging it. Sources: the show itself and the documentary "Perfect Bid: the Contestant Who Knew Too Much."

All this and no mention of Price Is Right where a female contestant had shall we say wardrobe malfunction of the top half variety , the numerous controversial slip ups on British words and numbers game show Countdown or another British game show Blockbusters where a contestant famously said "Can I have a "P" please Bob ?" leaving the host Bob Holness in a state of confusion and the studio audience and whoever was watching on TV laughing . If that episode had come during the Internet it would've gone viral .
