Here's an upgrade for the fridge: Use a lever on one of the counters to open it. You'll need to wire the lever up to the fridge, but doing it this way means you can fill your fridge with groceries or stare blankly at your food wondering what to eat in Minecraft *and* real life, and also have a nice (decorative) knife block.

Here’s a trick that helps me a lot when I need to hide my light sources: As slabs and stairs are transparent technically, light can pass through them, and if you build with their full block counterparts, they blend right in!

There is another way to do the torches with item frames. You can actually use invisible item frames to make it look even better, just a thought. Here is the command to do that: /give (username) item_frame{EntityTag:{Invisible:16}}
